ihaveadream:Hello, I thought someone already answered by advising you to put the money in your account. Your brother shouldn't be sponsoring you, an average VO will assume you don't have strong ties back home. That's an easy route to denial,so restrategise. 2 Likes |

Newmum0615: I agree with you too. Most times the recommended induction is not necessary. I too was induced with my first, reason also that the baby was big. Labour stalled and I ended up with an UNPLANNED c-section. Baby was not even up to 4kg. 1 Like |

mamanjai:You can book online from 9ja with your card before leaving and moreover, the earlier you book the cheaper the ticket, a ticket that might cost you $250 3wks before the trip might end up costing you $500 on the day off the trip. You should have it at the back of your mind that most of these local airlines in the us have luggage limits that are lower than what obtains in the international route,so pls find out before you buy your ticket. You can try delta and united they fly almost allover america 1 Like |

Tvegas: @Tvegas: thank u for taking time out to help with you being so busy and all, you're the first to respond on this thread. Thing is hubby earns about 100k per month and my small scale clothes business does not bring in a regular sum per month so I'm wondering if a huge payment into my account will not turn the VO off. I'm already 6 weeks gone, even if my brother pays in the money installmentally, I'm worried d VO will have trouble seeing it as our savings. What do you think? Inputs from others are welcome as well. Thank you very much! |

weaseloo:. i just want to add to this cos I had similar experience. I was also told my baby was big (4.1) and was advised to take induction cos I was passed due date, I told my doc to gv me one week more and wen d one week was up, I was scheduled for induction d next day I carry vex go home and kept exercising dat evening and eventually started contracting dat same night and had my baby very early in d morning and baby's weight wasn't up to d claimed weight. Dem Oyibo doctors always want to rush you and get baby out by all means. Abeg where are all dose my mamas that had their babies 2013 ending and 2014 beginning., una babies don old ooo, una never begin to think of another baby? Abi una don born finish (oyibo style, where u gv birth to only one or two kids) 5 Likes 1 Share |

I agree with you too. Most times the recommended induction is not necessary. I too was induced with my first, reason also that the baby was big. Labour stalled and I ended up with an UNPLANNED c-section. Baby was not even up to 4kg.[/quote] When doctors tells you your baby is big not in all cases will it have to do with baby's weights, every woman pelvic are not same in sizes, I meant a gynecology who said it is better @ 36 weeks to have a pelvic x-ray showing the size of the baby's head and the size of the pelvic, this helps a lot @ that point a woman knows if she can push or c section will be done. come to think of it,if every woman can get the x-ray done,I believe it will save lots of lives, prolonged labour, child and mother mortality rate. sharing this from a personal experience. 5 Likes |

Shawbabe: I am going to react to this. Please carry cash if you have got it, I noticed no ATM or PoS terminal at the Customs point when we landed. Simply put the CBP officer may not be convinced that you've got the funds for the payment since he can't see it immediately. A friend was turned back at Atlanta because she had a thousand usd cash on her and the officer didn't have any means to verify the funds she carried on her card. |

ihaveadream: My sister you know the obvious, this is not going to be easy but nothing is impossible. Even if you pay in that money into your account in bits using a newly registered business ,dont forget that the business may be considered too young to fund your trip. However, If your clothe business is matured you can use the account. Except you want people to tell you lies all I have said can't be far from the truth. Take your time on this. |

Sorry for coming back on this forum. My father in law agrees on giving me affidavit that he used some insurance to pay the delivery charges. He is not willing to tell insurance name. Looks like some public insurance. he will write also that I have nothing to do with this whole procedure and he should be liable for this. will this affidavit help me for my future visas? actually he starts talking with me again when I denied consent for passport. I asked him this affidavit as demand for the consent. I got full details too, the hospital was katz women hospital North shore-long Island Jewish Health System New York. He says that he will try to reverse insurance if I am willing to pay the amount. so far he didn't tell me the amount. But he is quoting rough figure of 15-20 thousand USD. it was normal delivery. Is that really true charges. Can that hospital disclose the actual charges to me. What you people suggest should I rely on affidavit or should I go an pay off the hefty bills. That will be really burden. Pls advise should I consult any attorney. 1 Like |

Just to add on my father in law is willing to write anything on affidavit for the sake of consent. Pls advise what should I write it from him that can save me. Or going and reverse the insurance is the only option. |

baauh:Reverse the insurance and make plans to pay the bills. Your wife does not qualify for public assistance. You already told the embassy you paid. So, why do u keep asking the same questions? 1 Like |
