When apply to UC without an agent do you fill a genuine entrant form for those who didn't use an agent? Because in my case I didn't fill it and I wasn't asked to... So am wondering why they assessed me without a GTE? And made all those decision. Even after asking me to send them my offer declaration so my COE can be prossessed? Am totally confused. |

Bellong do you know how to go about getting this 3 month course sorted? Any lawyer in the house ? bellong: |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 7:27pm On Feb 06, 2015 |
malkinburg: I think he applied himself from his posts |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bellong: 7:40pm On Feb 06, 2015 |
bjayzeez: The course will only be done after the Lawyers admission body in his/her preferred state assess qualifications. Let the person contact the lawyers' association in his preferred state. He will send his university transcript, law school transcript along with call to bar certificate, must get 7point in all band in IELTS, get letters of recommendation from his NBA chapter, and from two other senior legal professionals. Let the guy get the info himself and he will understand better. |

Hello all, I received a negative outcome on my engineering position, however, I was told it was suitable for a technician. I am thinking out loud, all. Should go for assessing as a technician? I want to ask if one gets the PR, can one study in Australia, as a domestic candidate and a reduced fee? for a Masters Degree? Abeg all help me oh, bellong, bossymolady and UBkTech, equilibrium and all, pls advice |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by johnsontade: 6:35pm On Feb 07, 2015 |
prost80: Just look at it as one of the little challenges people encounter on their way to bigger things. What assessing body and what occupation did you apply for. Also got a negative response from vetassess last year because I used my OND only for a Civil engineering technician assessment instead of using my B.Tech which I thought would be too huge for an occupation like that. |

malkinburg: I was given a negative assessment for Metallurgist but was told my experience is more suitable for a Metallurgical and Materials Technician and i could apply for a reassessment. what should i do? I am thinking a Masters degree will be necessary but will having a PR(just in case i apply), reduce the fees and give me the Engineering status? |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by prost80(m): 9:47pm On Feb 07, 2015 |
johnsontade: from VETASSESS and Metallurgy |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by johnsontade: 11:20pm On Feb 07, 2015 |
prost80: You can go for the technician option suggested by vetassess since its almost 100 percent sure that they would give you a positive assessment for it...thats if you're in a hurry. Another option is to go through Engineers Australia since you have an Engineers degree. |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 2:38am On Feb 08, 2015 |
prost80: @Bolded, you will definitely study as a home student as a PR, in that you can study part-time, online or by distance. As for fees, any program above bachelor's degree is FULL FEE Paying, what this means is that they are not subsidized by the government even for domestic students. Most Master's program will set you back by about $36K (assuming a 12 unit program at $3k/unit) |
