Urhobo Wado!

Urhobo are very smart, colourful & sociable people. I grew up with them & they are very easy to make friends with.

Anyway where I come from, we don't consider them strangers. We have a common origin anyway, as the OP rightly posted.

In my locality, my uncle the traditional ruler has made two Urhobo men (who came as young humble labourers to work for my grandad) chiefs.

They distinguished themselves, had & raised highly successful children in the locality. We consider the kids (doctors, lawyers, engineers and so on) as indigenes.

Impressive.

Wow, that was lovely. I do hope to visit Urhobo land soon.

I was privileged to serve in Delta State, warri precisely. Being a northerner and having been in the north since I was born, it was a great experience interacting with the Urhobos and learning about their tradition. Very interesting people I tell you!
