Kingdude,

I graduated with a 2.2. in electrical engineering and tried to go for a masters in canada too.

Take this from me and dont let any body trick you. Canadian universities take only 2.1 for masters, you'll have to do a postgraduate diploma first. but the good thing about canada ia you might even get a job before you finish your PGD and forget about doing the masters, also the school wants you to apply directly, agents can only help with undergraduate applications. the good and reputable agents will tell you that. When you need agents is for your visa application cos canadian high commission deny most visa applications. the only nigerian agent i can recommend is maple education , search for their website on google,

best of luck

y dont you go online to know the best schools for your course. You might be required to write an exam like gmat and odas. There u will have a broad knowledge of the schools, curricula, fees and method of applying.

Dude, admission committee looks more than one single criterion to judge the suitability of a candidate for graduate studies. No doubt, your undergraduate record is important but excellent performance in test scores can a times compensate for perceived weakness in other areas.

To start with, what type of 2:2, it depends on your CGPA. It's not just classification of degree. is your CGPA equivalent to 3.0 out of 4.0 otherwise you may have to use WES evaluation to boost it up. If you have the time click here to learn more www.graduate-studies..com

Good Evening All,

I have a concern which requires urgent advice from professionals in the house. I have a 2:2 in my undergraduate degree (mechanical - 3.31cgpa) and a 65.7% (A-) cumulative av in my MBA (UK) which is equivalent to 3.37/4.00 of canada grading system. GMAT score of 600 as well as 10 years working experience. I have the dream of doing a PhD in management from a school in canada, what is my chance of getting admission into a Canadian university and which schools will i have the greatest chance of getting admission. Thanks for your response.

Pls I am new here and I have something bothering me I'd like to share.
I graduated with a 2.2 And with a very low GPA of 2.49/2.51. Is there a chance of gaining admission to Canada university even if it's a pre-masters. I am looking at any course leading towards construction project management.
Thank you.

Yes, you can pursue a Master's degree in Canada with a 2.2 (second class lower) degree, although it might be more challenging. Here are a few considerations and tips:

Research Universities and Programs: Some Canadian universities may have higher entry requirements, but there are many institutions that take a holistic approach in evaluating applications. Research universities and specific programs to find those that are flexible with their entry requirements.

Strengthen Other Aspects of Your Application:

Statement of Purpose (SOP): Write a compelling SOP explaining why you want to pursue the program, your career goals, and why you are a good fit for the program despite your undergraduate GPA.

Letters of Recommendation: Obtain strong recommendation letters from professors or employers who can attest to your abilities and potential for success in graduate studies.

Relevant Work Experience: Highlight any relevant work or research experience that demonstrates your skills and dedication to the field.
Additional Courses or Certifications: Completing additional coursework or certifications related to your field can show your commitment and help strengthen your application.

Consider Pathway Programs: Some universities offer pathway or preparatory programs for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements. Successfully completing these programs can lead to admission into the Master's program.

Professional and Academic Achievements: Highlight any professional certifications, publications, or academic achievements that could bolster your application.
