Guy pls for God's sake stop political propaganda here in supporting of any politician, no body is lazy up to dat level, presently am working @ Ekiti State Civil Service Commission (ministry of works n infrastructure) with levil 8/3 only some of us are looking for better, so all nscdc n nis seekers be prayerful n hopeful is either hook's or crook's miracle ill soon happen by God's grace.....

Is it 'manly' to say somtin in public and not take responsibility? We didn't push NIS to recruit, they needed us, when everything crashed, he made a mandate and gave them 12weeks, we know it may not be enough but how come no official announcement has been made on this, somtin over 700, 000 Nigerian youth participated...

Personally my frustration is not on the time its taking, my worry is that we are not been carried along, and that is so irresponsible of a govt...

Many who participated in NIS recruitment are working, just looking for greener pasture. So don't see it that we look to the govt for evrytin but wen there is an opportunity that is greater and beta than where u are presently, only a fool will not go for it...

So just as GEJ came out to calm the nerves of Nigerians concerning the stampede, we expected him to have done thesame when the 12 weeks deadline was not achieved.

Please when next you defend GEJ, put yourself in the shoes of those who lost their love ones. Its not his fault that things didn't go as expected but its his responsibility to see that things go well this time... But so far, notin is well.

Really daft and village champion.By March its will be a year ago after that immigration exercise,no concrete thing has happen since then,no briefing,no assurance and at the end the bigmen will bring in their candidates through the back door just like what the former CG of immigration did.Jonathan administration is a complete failure and its only the clueless like him that keep supporting Jonathan because is from his region.If you want to be in a safer hand n cherish good future for your children dont make that silly mistakes by voting for Jonathan again.A good leader that truly care for is people would speak and follow up with action but Jonathan is a complete different person.He will speak n set up comity and go to bed.He is not a leader n will never be one.Do you know what its means for the ordinary Nigerians to use their hard earn money to apply for a government job n for close to like two years no sign to show whether they the immigration/govt are serious or not.In a sane n civilized society Jonathan and Abba slowpoke even if ABBA is my brother,suppose to be behind the bar.Keep supporting bad things.

The Federal Government has concluded arrangements to conduct fresh recruitment for new personnel into the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), almost a year after the previously botched exercise led to the loss of several lives, with many others injured.

This was confirmed on Monday in a statement by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), NIS, Chukwuemeka Obuah, after advertorials were placed in major media outlets for that purpose.

Obuah noted: "The Presidential Committee To Assist In Immigration Recruitment on Monday February 9, 2015 placed advertorial in some national dailies requesting applications from suitable Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigeria Immigration Service starting from 9th February 2015 to 22nd March, 2015. Note the application is free and must be done online".

The stampede that occurred during the poorly planned NIS aptitude test on Saturday, March 15,2014, had led to the death of over 20 applicants with several others injured.

Reports also revealed that there were only 4, 000 vacancies that were to be filled in NIS, while the Ministry of Interior approved the sale of application scratch cards to over 520, 000 citizens, amounting to over $3, 000,000 in revenue to the ministry, and yet it failed to provide adequate provision for the conduct of standard recruitment aptitude test.

WHen I said last year recruitment was done already. Pple were abusing me.
