get rooney out of the midfield and we will be fine. van gaal doesn't consider rooney good enough as a striker or as a player in the hole. rooney only plays by the virtue of his captainship.

if falcao/RVP aren't firing, rooney should be replacing them so herrera or fellaini can play in the midfield. the fact that fellaini was chosen to play in the hole ahead of rooney just says it all.....

when Falcao missed the sitter, i actually expected him to be subbed for Rooney to move forward.
Smalling replacing Valencia - Valencia moving to the right of diamond - Jones moving to right back - Januzaj off for Herrera/Mata as well.

we could have equalized much earlier before Fellaini (for van Persie or Rooney) comes on for the battering job in the last 10 minutes. the starting combo in the diamond didn't have much pawa & apparently we were going feel it against Song, Nolan & Noble. Over all, it was a difficult away game won/lost by fine margins.

I just hope van Gaal can sort out our away form before the start of next season cuz we'll need it if we are to mount any serious title challenge

Van Gaal should realise there is no way he can keep on playing Van Persie,Falcao and Rooney at the same time. One or two of them have to drop out for the team to function.
Valencia is played out of podition ditto di Maria and Rooney.

Players persistently being played out of position. if rooney cannot play as a striker, he shouldn't be in the team. it's that simple. we lose a lot of urgency with his nonsense diagonal ball. when west ham had their breaks, they hit straight balls to sakho & valencia.... when united countered, rooney keeps playing nonsense diagonal & backward passes.

What I can't understand about this dominating possession and no end result from the strikers. Falcao keeps falling all over the place. The goal he missed is suposed to be bread and butter to a striker of his "class". And he has to hit the damn target and at least make the keeper Adrian work.

Van Persie too missed a sitter he should be putting away but at least he forced a save from the keeper.

And why doesn't Louis Van Gaal ever get off his fat arze and come to the touch line to organise or reorganise his team?All coaches do it except him and it reeks of arrogance.
