It's just unfair for this generation of CIV with all their talent and dedication to their country not to win AFCON in their generation, especially when average teams like Nigeria and Zambia have won it in same era.

As for Ghana, the objective me thinks they also deserve something (I like their zeal and zest for their country), but the rival NIgerian me doesn't want them to win because of bragging right. When we catch them at 4 and overtake them, I can begin to support them.

The core of that team went to world cup and became along side Algerian the only two African teams that made it out of their group in Brazil, while Ghana and CIV crashed.


You must be joking to put that Nigerian team with the Zambian team that rode on luck of penalties and bus parking to the AFCON trophy.

As far as African standards were involved, there was nothing average about that Nigerian team, they were simply the best team in Africa in 2013 and by a long shot.

2017 AFCON winners gets to represent CAF in the confederation cup 2017 in Russia, i'd rather Nigeria win that one than this 2015 edition.


Our Flying eagles look so promising, like wise the Dream team, if everything remain constant, we stand a good chance of winning that 2017 edition with a good blend of youth from the flying eagles/Dream team and experience from some current members of the SE squad.
