[quote
author=Dramadiddy post=24810781] Well karleb, you can create your own
vamping style(rhythm) by yourself! smiley...all you need is pay attention to
what your drummer is playing and find what fits in well to it and isn't
noisy...you can start with songs played on a 4/4, before moving to
other time signatures because, what works for 4/4 might not fit into a
3/4,6/8,5/4 and the rest..goodluck bro[/quote] guy explain dis 4/4 tins to me please,am still a learner but play in my church though

Better get ASAP because we dey anticipate am, I wish I could meet you though so you could teach me some things.

I've a new illiterate teacher right now who doesn't know more than 4 keys on the keyboard, he doesn't even know what a scale is but when he grabs his Fmajor ehn he could play an augmented/diminished/sus2 and 4 chord as slash chords before going to the next scale degree...

Mehn! I wanna be like him which is why I want you to release your video asap!

Yes I am, an intermediate at that.

What mean by rhythm is something like: d m r d, r f m r, m s f m, r m r... that we all use to learn keyboard.

Bro. I dunno what to call it but this is how I play it. Whenever I'm going to F (let's say on Cmajor now) I'd play the Bb first then land on the chord of F. If it's G, I'd play the F# first before landing on the chord of G. The chord of Am takes the Ab. My question is, is there any other way I can get to F apart from going through Bb. Same question goes for G and Am and even C too.

I've been trying Bb to G (I learnt that from "I'm Trading My Sorrow"wink, but it doesn't make lot of sense when I try applying it to other songs. And again, is there a name given to this kind of movements?
Thanks. smiley

Hello....as a beginner, what you need to know is that the key to getting better is practice, keep practicing a particular bass line until u get it...you will surely get it...although u don't need to play bass lines, esp when a bass player is around...but it still helps to learn bass lines if no bass player is around... Cheers!

How do I play then when the bass player is around? Would I start my left hand on middle C and never go below it?

Alright guys, to the ones that haven't slept yet, you can use this to sleep...to the ones that have slept, it will be a good gift for the unfolding day... I'm a minorish guy when it comes to piano..its all about personality...i love things that sound wicked and sad and all...I love the feel...I no be vampire ooo...Just wanted to share a 7-3-6 progression I learnt...I'll do it on the simple key of Cmajor and it goes thus :
7- B Gb A// A D Gb A(Bmin7)
3- E B D// D Ab B(Edom7)
6- A E G// E A D(Amin7)

Feel free to ask questions about it...I'll back it up with theoretical answers

Is this Cm or Am scale?

It's called passing chords and there are many way to play it like playing the major or minor of a minor or major chord before going to playing the next chord you want to play. You can also checkout the video I posted above.
