Circumcising your baby boy in the US is better, the procedure is great and the environment neater with no drug load on the baby. It was done for my son when he was 2 days old and he coped very well. They will tell you how to care for it. 2 Likes |

@Mabel.....We don't just feel like spending $300 on circumcision in US . Especially since we don't have extra hands to cater for the baby after the operation. Lots of doctors including Hyunn and Baba will do a good job. Just got back home ,baby did it already and he is good. [/quote] Congrats @Tvegas and welcome home. Good to hear u, wifey nd baby re doin okay. Thanks for d info u gave me too. |

About this circumcision thingy; I beg to differ with the popular belief that the pain is much less when the baby is a few days old. I will say, it depends on the baby, the procedure used and Dr/midwife carrying out the procedure. I did my son's own in Naija (Ring method) when he was about 7weeks and he coped really well. Even better than some days old babies I know. Within a few days, the ring had fallen off and healed very quickly. I just didn't want to risk it not being done well in the US and having to redo it in Naija. Also, there is better support system back home to care for the baby post circumcision. Then again, make I no lie, that $260 go reach me buy 4 cartons of diapers. In all, to each, his own. Do what you think is best for your baby. 5 Likes |

Tvegas: Thanks tvegas and good to hear that baby is doing great. $300 hmmmmm. the last one i did 6 yrs ago was less than 5k, even right now, it cant be more than 10k. $300 is like 60k Jesu Kristi. welcome back home. i heard their transportation system go encourage lots of jogging, legging, sitting at home to watch movies and enbraining myself. 2 Likes |

At Boston CBP: what brings you here Me: vacation and child birth CBP:what do you do? Me: I answered CBP: Do you have an appointment at the hospital Me: yes and I gave her the documents CBP:Why Rhode island Me: my aunt lives there She took my finger prints and picture CBP: you will have to go in for secondary inspection just stand back and an officer will take you there. While standing there an officer came and asked for the name on my bags inorder to get the bags for me. At secondary inspection I met 5 other people waiting to be interviewed and my turn came. CBP: Your appointment is 3days past. Me: I rescheduled CBP: When is your next appointment Me: 3days time CBP then checks husband's statement of account asked questions on it and also wants to know what husband does. CBP: You know you're not a US citizen and you're not entitled to any insurance and aid. Me: yes I know CBP: you can take your seat and give me 10mins She kept typing and typing on her system asking for name of hospital and husband's occupation once again. She then stamped my passport and that of my baby called me to pick it up, keep it and that I only need my landing card at the exit. On getting outside my bags were waiting for me. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Phema:Wonder what it's with the fine penisis it's just for urination and procreation not like he's gonna be showing his willie off and am sure a lot of daddy's here had theirs done with a bottle n still got African queens as wives ....lol About coping with pain that's just my medical opinion from med sch sure my lecturers are right But anyways it can be done at any age but as the nervous system develops its easier to recognize certain stimuli as you get accustomed to extra uterine life that's why babies can feed on milk for 3 months n not complain you try it now! |

Been a while dearies. Congrats to all new mums. Just want to share my recent experience with my Dropbox. Our visas (mine, daughter and hubby) is expiring this Feb so we decided to renew end of Jan due to all this election brouhaha. We applied for Dropbox and hubby got called that we should show up any Monday or Wednesday BTW 12 & 2pm for an interview. I was shocked because I know few people that weren't called during their renew process. We chose to go this past Monday and the interview went thus: Hello Hello You had your baby when? July 2014 Can I see the receipts? Handed over the receipt How much were you billed? $2888 Is this with doctor's fee and ..? Yes What? Its not possible (Scratching his head and still insisting its not possible. I handed over my zero balance and told him to call them for clarification. Still terrified and asked where I and hubby works, what we do where we work. Countries we've visited. Why we are traveling again. Lastly, pick up your visas on Thursday. Whew! A lady I met was also called and she came from Port Harcourt and had her baby in the US. I couldn't wait to know the outcome of her interview. Pls ensure you get all your documents intact and your zero balance is highly important regardless of how much you paid. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

If they keep trimming the thing (flesh) wetin go come remain? b4 them go make mistake come dey trim muscle. just like trimming sugarcane left, right and center, sugarcane no go bend.? I want my sons to be proud of their thing even if they cant show it to d world, girls will see it. (dats for sure) 11 Likes |

Thanks, the reason I asked because, we lived in Qatar and before we can process anything we need to certify all docs. I have checked US Embassy Qatar website and I got all the info needed, from Texas to WDC and Qatar Embassy in DC. Thanks so much, how is the little Yankee doing and the mother. God Bless. Tvegas: |
