Hey bro, how did you go about the Malaysian transit visa since Malkinburg recently stated that it'd been suspended.

Congrats

I got social visa on 21st January; though it wasn't easy at all. The High Commission is not organized at all. I was the first to be granted social visa instead to transit visa. The man in charge of collecting the documents didn't know anything about transit visa. He had to enquire about it from the consular officer and I was told they don't grant transit visa but I would be given a social visa. Meanwhile, I sent them series of emails long before I got my OZ visa on Nov. 20th and few days prior to my arrival at ABJ enquiring about transit visa and its requirements and I didn't get any negative feedback. But, after waiting for 4 days, I got a call from them requesting for NDLEA clearance certificate and bank account statement. It was very devastating. I had to send explanatory emails, more documents, banks statements but the consular officer refused to grant it for a flimsy reason that my offer letter is not same as admission letter. I had to send another explanatory email, prayed seriously and an insider talked to the consular officer of my genuineness. I got the visa the next day. I must confess getting it was tougher than getting OZ visa. There was a guy that submitted 4 days after me that experienced delays too although it was because of him that I was asked to provide more documents (ie admission letter & COE) cos he submitted them and I didn't.
I would suggest that anyone intending to go through this route shouldn't give it a try cos u might risk losing alot of money if the visa is not granted; use Qatar airways instead (Qatar airways services is truly 5 stars yet very affordable). The High Commission decided to stop issuing out the visa because of the increase in number of applications that came in after I got the grant. I was the only black person at KLIA2 all through the hours I spent at the airport and I was the only black on board AirAsia, the malaysian guys were of huge assistance in helping me with my trolley and directions.

PS. I am a lady.

i notarised mine for 5k just one page at a notary public.. You could certify at a high court for not more dan 5h per page ( note dat even doctors, teachers, lawyers can certify whc is acceptable).. Never knw all dis until unsw gave me d hint.

Wrong info. I notarized with a notary public in Lagos for 300 per page though through his PA. Certifications from doctors, pharmacists, bank managers, police officers can only be done in OZ; for overseas, it must be a notary public or high court. Please, recheck.

Yea I just checked the school 'm applying to and they said their representative(agent) can certify the documents.I don't think I will be going to any high court

what are u certifying? If the documents are to be sent to school, then even the issuing institution can certify but if it's for immigration purposes and some professional registrations like AHPRA, then it won't be accepted. When I got to teleperformance hoping that they will certify my documents, I was disappointed when I was asked to go to court to certify and on getting to court, I discovered a strike was on but fortunately, I got a link to a notary public.

Did u have any issues going through immigration?? My friend who followed the route said they were harrasing people entering the country. He said they were asking them for how much they had in USD and that they required minimum 1500. Any ways all he did was tell them he had a connecting flight to Australia and they let him and his wife through. Did u have any issues??

I give God all the glory. He has done great thing for me again. I just got my SA 190 visa grant this morning. Thank the Lord for me. It was like a dream when this whole process started, with faith in God I pushed on further to realize this dream. Fellow Ozlander thank you all for the inputs.

Congrats. Pls I sent u a private msg. I will like to ask some questions concerning what docs was requested at the skills assessment stage for work exp. I do not have up to 3 years but tinkin of backdating. I will appreciate ur response.

You can do 1 for every quarter. But ensure the first payslip and your latest payslip are included.
Congrats. I have been reading this thread since sometime last year when you were sayin how the jobs went off so easily Before you could even apply and why you went for the state nomination. I have been wanting to apply but i just wanted to be sure I put all the docs I need cos I dont want to get a -ve employment review and hav dt money spent go. Was there any point durin the process that your bank statement was requested to show the salary payments? I am askin his because I changed account and closed the old one at some point.
And the reference letter is it a Combination of my offer letter and a reference letter or do I ask my Hr officer to include the salary in the ref letter and not add my offer letter.
Again for the job duties I had to draft out duties to be included and the letter just looks like the sample letter on the aussie website but not lifted words from the duties.

HELLO house....I M HEART BROKEN AND DEVASTATED,MY STUDENT VISA APPLICATION SUBCLASS 573 UNDER SVP WAS REFUSED ON THE GROUND THAT I WILL NOT GO BACK TO NIGERIA AFTER MY STUDY.i included both statement of account and affidavit of sponsorship together with a SOP stating my future plan with regards to the relevant of my proposed course to my future.i intended to enroll in a course that suits my employment background..it took them nearly 3months to assessed my application.i was so apprehensive about the delay that i have to called them on monday to ask them if i should apply for the extension of my starting date or defer my admission for the next semester,...but to my greatest surprise, the same day they sent me refusal notice without any cogent reason.....Although,i didnt apply in nigeria as i m currently residing in another country.

Meanwhile,i still intend to reapply again as i have already deferred my admission to the next semester,But i m worried about the chance of getting the visa ....will it be fine if i courier my application to pretoria because the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY here doesn't assess any student here under SVP.In fact, they don't even have SVP checklist on their website or in their office. It seems as if they dont know about SVP or just a deliberate act.

please the house,i would need an advice or advices on how to go about it now....Is it wise to reapply again at the same embassy or send my application to Pretoria if it will be possible..?

Which country did u apply from? It might also be that your SOP isn't detailed enough. What makes u apply from other country apart from your country of birth?

i couldn't apply from Nigeria because i m not living in Nigeria at the moment. My SOP was ok,i guess they denied me the visa for no reason....the reason they gave is that Nigeria economy is not as strong as that of Australia, that i might not come back after my study.I was also subjected under AL3 ,which made my application to stayed for almost 3months....it was the day i called them to know the update, that i got the refusal notice...

I just want to know the possibility of getting the visa if i re apply..Fortunately,pretoria has agreed to accept my application via courier service after i have informed them about the non availability of SVP assessment at the australian embassy where i reside, though i didnt inform them about my previous application.

I quite disagree with you based on the reason you out here.

I would even say that Oz student visa is very easy, with low refusal rate, compared to other countries.

WHich program did you apply for? I can see AL3 and SVP, but they are different.

Sorry to ask though; is it certification they are talking about or EVALUATION? Majority of US schools request for evaluation a lot, through WES and another agency like that. I dont know which is the case here.

No 2 ur not applying from ur country so what are d odds u want to change base to their country and not return to yours?? In my own opinion u r more suited to apply straight for PR. Bros ur question Na jamb question. U have to do ur home work. Do some proper searching. What's Google for. When ur done selecting a course and choosing a
School that suites ur budget holla and we can point out if its a bargain or rip off or its not value for money or Just a waste of time or help you review it in terms of PR and job prospects. General rule of thumb is to school in regional area where u can get 5 immigration points when applying for PR. Bottomline Just get down to searhing bruv.

. Documents for work experience are your pay slips, employer reference letter, your Cv outlining your duties. The number of years depends on your nominated occupation and the assessing body. My assessing body just required at least one year experience in nominated occupation. Why do you want to back date? What's your assessing body and occupation?

I so much have passion for maritime work, google led me to Australian Maritime College (AMC) under University of Tasmania. I've sent a mail to the Uni,they are yet to reply. I'm a total novice to Australian student thread and that's why I requested for visa processing stages and range of NAIRA that will be needed

I did mine at the state high court in Ikeja. N130 per page.
