Deltagiant:

It doesn't matter whose brain-child the APCs were, but however, credit must be given to whom it is due. These Armoured Personel Carriers were perfected and built during the time Major General Charles Maduegbunam headed DICON, and Lt. Gen. Ihehirika COAS. The record must be put straight at all times.

Smh. I guess you have never heard of intellectual property.

These are the kinds of tanks the Clueless One sends to Lagos and other metropolitan areas, to hassle people, when he suspects that Nigerians want to exercise their constitutional right to protest. March is just around the corner. embarassed
What a shame! You've just referred to a Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) as Tank (MBT) yet you have the effrontery to call someone else "Clueless". Look into the mirror mate, you might just happen to find a tad bit of clue for yourself before berating others...

Nice one, this will help us save needed foreign exchange.

We need more production to develop naija...importation leads to capital flight and depreciation of our currency.

We have large deposits of iron ore, plus our human resource which is our greatest resource yet untapped is in abundance.

Pls Mr Politician, study the times-the world has gone past consumption...you need to be productive,we need to be exporting to smaller nations around us-just to improvise on the industries-take Nigerian science students/engineers abroad to train and come build for the Nation.

Nigeria has rich and abundant resources,mr Politician pls wise up and create value, don't be a weak link.

I'm so much loving being Yoruba! We are achieving so much, yet we don't go around bragging like the senseless igbos. Proforce is owned by a Yoruba man. Proforce has offices and sales outlets in Ibadan, Lagos and Abuja but the Car/armoured Vehicles manufacturing Company is located at Ode-Remo in Ogun State. Proforce has been exporting vehicles to African Countries since 2010. So, dim-witted igbos can see that whatever they claim to achieve in any field of life is always being dwarfed by the glorious achievements of we Yorubas.
To shot you senseless igbos up for life, let me give you links to Proforce location and other details:

http://www.ngex.com/bd/b/Proforce_3-Ode-Remo-Ogun-Nigeria/
http://www.olakleenholdings.com/proforce.html
https://beegeagle./2013/07/15/technology-transfer-at-proforce-defence/
http://www.nigerialocal.com.ng/listings/proforce-defence/

Must everything go tribal?! Anyway correction: Proforce does NOT produce the Igirigi, but the PF series vehicles as shown in pic 1 and 2 below. The SE equally owns a defence manufacturer called MEKAHOG, co developers of the Ikri (Pic 3) and Springbuck MRAPs (Pic 4) in conjunction with DCD South Africa. And don't forget that they own Innoson. So enough of the Dick measuring contest.

They do not need to build everything 100%. Even the German Nazi received American input for their World War II infrastructure.

Sorry bro Innoson doesn't produce such vehicles, the only vehicles Innoson produce are mini luxurious buses while the rest of his vehicles are been imported from China and coupled in Nigeria with some Chinese expertise.

I don't really understand why most of you are bent on celebrating mediocrity.
Just few days ago, 28 soldiers were ambushed and slaughtered why is the OP not asking why they were not transported with the so called IGRIGI?

Our Otokr Cobras are made in Turkey, Who has ever bought our Igrigi if it is any good?

Bros, continue fooling yourself, The Army remains our last line of defence nevertheless, under Patience Jonathan I am better off with the blood of Jesus.

Re u kidding me?
Have u been to Innoson plant?
Have u talked with the Manger (Ifeanyi) have u spent a lot of time to monitor them?
Well, am not saying this Cos am Igbo but my man, real and real construction is going on in there, Waste Vans, lorries, SUVs, mini and heavy Buses, keke, other designs and even cell phones.
Do u think innoson just came to existence from the moon?
He have loads of companies in Enugu emene, go ask people who sell new spare parts, 50 percent of thing dey sell, innoson produces them.
Now, Ifeanyi the manager told me that in all those cars, it's only the Engine that is been imported from China and not all part but the speedometer. In Onithsa and Nnewi dia, they have dia individual steel firm, I know of many steel manufacturer firms in Atani road close to Onithsa head bridge and Innoson has his as well and 90 percent of the metal they get is from scraps not ore.
In Onithsa those guys produce their construction rods and nails and spoons and stainless steel plates and cups.
U guys need to visit the east beyond sentiment and see what Peter obi did in Anambra, the Enabling environment he created for these guys to sprout individually and gradually.
More and more firms re springing up and heavy industries ranging from iron and steel to Ceramics and wire Manufacturering.
I have never been to Abia and hence can't say anything about them.

na waho...butit is made in Nigeria bah? GEJ 2015 to 2019. Which vehicle was manufactured or assembled during obj regime? During Buhari regim all the factories closed down from mercedes to pan in kaduna but thanks to God almighty and his servant GEJ, they are all coming back to life. I see industrial evolution coming to Nigeria cause we have the market and the force even the minerals.
