Re: APC Resorts To Private Security Guards by Seawhy(m): 10:56am On Feb 15, 2015
The FG should provide security for all irrespective of party affiliation.
Provision of security is the primary objective of any government.
Any government that cannot guarantee of its citizens should know that they have failed.
Somebody to provide security for him self should not arise in the first place.
But when the people concerned are not doing their duty, then the opposite should be the case.
Nigeria belong to all Nigerians and dividend of democracy should not be for PDP alone.
Re: APC Resorts To Private Security Guards by Solomon30: 11:02am On Feb 15, 2015
APC should stop crying like sucking babes looking for undue sympathies of the general public by telling lies. We all know that BAT masterminded the death of FUNSHO WILLIAMS. BAT & BRF murdered SAULAH around IYANA IPAJA axis when he refused to come to terms with the state govt demands and AGBEDE was install as NURTW Chairman. What has APC not done in Lagos state? APC is not the only opposition party, so, why APC APC APC all the time? They need to observe a minute silence.

Any private securit outfit that resorts to carrying arms should have their operating licenses revoked immediately, and whoever is found in possession of arms should be arrested immediately. APC must learn to abide by the laws of the land because the GEJ administration is not out to kill anybody. The only people who need to be afraid of the GEJ's government are the 2011 murderers who are planning to repeat it in 2015.

SUNDAY PUNCH gathered on Friday that part of these arrangements included engaging private security guards (some of which allegedly carry arms) as well as beefing up security in and around their homes and offices.

Same APC would complain when Tompolo orders the latest F16 to defend himself.

Waste of time. .no one is after their lives but to watch their conduct before elections, so if someone wants to kill you he'll let you know by having soldiers parading your house?? I think they should contact people like Marshal Harry, Dikibo, Ige, Funsho on how the opposition got rid of them from the world beyond.
APC chieftains are just plain drama Queens. Old men wey don die finish dey claim say person wan kee them grin

Security aids provided by the government can't be trusted since FG ain't sincere.
and for that reason every household should acquire the service of private guards right? Its means you and I will be worst hit and complete anarchy will be the next definition of Nigeria situation. Who are those to be used as private guards?

Following what the All Progressives Congress described as the growing threat to the lives of its leaders, some of the party’s chieftains have resorted to making private security arrangements.

SUNDAY PUNCH gathered on Friday that part of these arrangements included engaging private security guards (some of which allegedly carry arms) as well as beefing up security in and around their homes and offices.

Some of the party members volunteered this information on the condition of anonymity.

One of them explained that the chieftains were forced to make backup plans because it was becoming clear that the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government would withdraw the services of regular security men as the elections approach.

He said, “We cannot pretend we don’t know what the PDP is up to. There is more to the deliberate harassment of our leaders by security agencies within the last one week.

“First, it was Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Rochas Okorocha; then our Presidential Campaign Director of Media, Mr. Garba Shehu. Only God knows who will be next.

“It was in this same country during election period that Chief Harry Marshal and Bola Ige were killed. Only a careless person will rely solely on government security men who can be withdrawn at any time.”

In Rivers State, the state chapter of the APC said its members were relying on “natural human instincts” to protect party leaders from assassination plots.

The state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chris Fynebone, told one of our correspondents that no matter how the party’s political detractors tried to intimidate its leaders, it would be impossible to eliminate all of them.

The Kwara State Secretary of the party, Mr. Adekanye Olabode, also said the party had written to all relevant security agencies to provide security for its prominent members.

Olabode said, “We cannot do anything that is contrary to the law. So we have taken the legal step. We have also committed our lives to God’s hand who can best secure human lives.”

Similarly, the Akwa Ibom State spokesperson of the APC, Mr. Udobong Samuel, said the soldiers’ siege on Tinubu’s house could mean that none of the party’s candidates was safe in the hands of the security agencies.

He said “When we hear something like this we raise the alarm because if we don’t do this, something else may happen.”

Although the Ogun State chapter of the party declined to give details of its security arrangements, it said it was not leaving anything to chance.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Lai Mohammed, also said the party would rely on the security provided by the Nigerian people.

He noted that the use of security services to serve the interest of those in power was not only weakening their capabilities but also putting democracy at risk.

But reacting to reports that some politicians’ security men were carrying arms, the police said it was illegal for politicians’ private security guards to bear arms.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said, “Any private guard caught with arms will face the consequences of his action; he and his principal will be prosecuted and they risk going to jail for 14 years, that is what the law says.”

Also speaking, the Civil Defence Corps Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Okeh, said the laws regulating operations of private security firms in the country did not permit them to carry arms.

That's really dumber than the dumbest posts I've seen on NL , they are not recruiting 1 Million private security ,whatever the cost is , it would be insignificant compared to the trillions of USD that dame and GEJ's boys himself inclusive have embezzled

APC has the right to protect themselves , we saw was PDP can use DSS , Police and Army for in Ekiti, Osun and some other APC states , they have the right to hire private security , I would recommend mossad agents or a special agents from Israel. , those ones can't be corrupted and if you are not happy with APCs decision go fourk yourself muurfucka

Embezzlement kor , retainment ni.
