We are always interested in hearing from people keen on joining us as faculty or professional staff.

When you join LBS you become part of a community with a strong identity. We believe in high professional standards; in providing the best service to the participants in our programmes and the Nigerian society; and in mutual commitment. People who fit in well with our culture tend to have long careers at LBS and we look for people who are interested in having a long association with the School.

LBS is ranked in the sixth place by the Great Place to Work (GPTW) Institute among the Great Places to Work in Nigeria in 2012. LBS offers a demanding, stimulating and creative work environment; has a strong culture of respect for all the people who work in the School; provides rich training opportunities; and is always mindful of the fact that its staff have also commitments and responsibilities outside the School, and tries to make it possible for the staff to give them due attention.

We need first-class staff and do our best to remunerate them accordingly. We also provide life cover, and generous pension and gratuity schemes.

For regular faculty positions we require that applicants have a relevant PhD; a record of scholarly and/or professional publications; and either strong familiarity with the world of management practice or at least a strong commitment to acquire it.

Where is rose valley in Nigeria? I am guessing it is in Lagos. Where in Lagos? Location of the schools matters. For instance, if it is located in V.I, Ikoyi or Lekki do not go below the industry standard 60k minimum and 80k maximum. On the Mainland, stick with 45 depending on the location. Refer to the questions than prof.gday highlighted .All the best.

Teaching more than 25 periods in a week will definitely affect the efficiency of a teacher who teaches in a secondary school.

As per the salary paid by schools and other small business owners, I can tell you that the business environment in Nigeria is very hostile and we all have to respect entrepreneurs who against all odds decided to create value, render services, make products and generate employment opportunities for job seekers.

Seems u own a skul

Hello peeps. Finally, I got a call to come for an interview and micro-teaching by a school in alakija. However, they are looking for a Christian Religious Studies teacher. I have no problem with taking the job but my fear is in the remuneration package. CRS doesn't look like a subject that can fetch any teacher
a mouthwatering pay package, does it? By the way, I have never taught the subject , so I have no idea of what to expect. Please, my experienced teachers on here, how much should I set my mind on (minimally) as I set out for the school on Monday? 10k-15k-30k?
N.B: It's an average school.

Try and have an idea of the salary structure of the school, this will determine what you should ask for. You can get this information from teachers or friends of the school.

Depending on your experience, academic/professional qualifications, track records in the industry, area of specialization and the value you will add to the school, you may get 200k and above in V.I, Ikoyi or Lekki.

On the mainland you may even get less than 20k, it depends on the size of the school, school fees charged by the school, population of students, stage of the product life cycle of the school, what similar schools in the area are paying, vision of the owners and the financial muscles of the owners of the school.
