Obasanjo should go and sit down and stop giving the fake general false hope. The fake general Buhari will not and will never rule nigeria. He is a fraud and a fraud will he continue to be no matter the media unslaught against GEJ. OBJ is certainly much more corrupt that GEJs government.

I wonder why OBJs kinsmen are not asking him where he kept $16 billion he claimed he spent on power sector and the funds generated from his scam library project that raised over 7 billion Naira. I guess they will not ask because tribalism have eroded their cornea and medulla oblongata. No sense of equitable reasonsing.

Jonathan keeps getting wrongest advices ever. As former President Olusegun Obasanjo rightly put, GEJ is reigning and not ruling cos he doesn't even have full and autonomous control of the service chiefs. Little wonder the coordinating minister's stance and speech on economic policies are significantly different from that of Mr. gej.

Corruption has been glorified, celebrated and magnified under this democratic dispensation. Ain't y'all ready for change in Nigeria? I think change is imminent.

Thanks mr Obasanjo for saying the bitter truth.
I guess you do not like the messenger (OBJ), but what about the message? Should we ignore it, even though that seems to be the situation on ground at the moment. The man has freedom of speech just like you do. He is saying it as he sees it.

Maybe you don't regard him as anything, but he is an acknowledged member of the international community. The best person to take leadership advice from is Obasanjo, because he has seen the good, bad and the ugly of leading Nigeria. Obasanjo knows the real intentions of palace jesters like FFK, Okupe, Akpabio and co. He has dealt with them several times. So Jonathan should listen to music.

Obasanjo "President Jonathan has done well to the BEST OF HIS ABILITY..." Meaning He cannot do more than he has done. He needs to leave honorably with out votes.

People should ponder on these two utterances by Baba

"The President is the Chief Security of the country and he is the Commander-in-Chief and if security is required anywhere anytime, it is his duty to provide it, failure to provide it, is dereliction of duty, pure and simple"

and

"I get worried, very worried that if the President of Nigeria is not in-charge of security, maintenance of law and order and such a decision can be taken behind him, assuming that is true, then the President must be reigning and not ruling and then who are the shadow figures that are ruling us?"

".. one day we will find out this country would be plunged into chaos, into commotion, into confusion and the President would say, ‘I do not know about it'"

We're already there

If Jonathan wants to tempt faith by rejecting the will of the people,he should be ready to handle the consequences of being disgraced out of office. If GEJ is so sure of victory why is he playing hide and seek with the election date?

The dog destined for destruction will NEVER listen to the hunter's whistle.

Nigerians will go for zero tolerance on corruption. SAI buhari.

Maybe OBJ will want to explain how 20,000 Naira that he had on leaving prison and presidential salary was able to build a private university, the massive investment in OBJ farms and his various deals including Transcorp, and money. A fair Buhari govt will have to find out.

So is the eye service OBJ is doing now not trying to suck up to Buhari if he wins to avoid jail?

Obasanjo should be more afraid, because Buhari clan is very unpredictable when it comes to holding onto political power in Nigeria.

Buhari military clan itching to hold onto power during Abacha regime was about to hang Obasanjo in jail, until luck shined on Obasanjo.

Buhari was deeply involved with Abacha regime till it lasted. Abacha created a slush fund - PTF - for Buhari to run, because Abacha was always sick.
Buhari must have given tacit approval to the decisions of Abacha regime. Obasanjo was jailed, waiting to be hanged, for plotting coup against Abacha - luck smiled upon Obasanjo as Abacha suddenly died.

Obasanjo is merely exploiting the fact that GEJ is over-democratic.

So if Tinubu and Amechi face a serioous anti-corruption court, they will come out clean? Stop being a fool. I hate calling people fools, but I can't just help it. Those thinking Buhari will become president and jail Goodluck are fools! I m sorry but they are just fools!

The party Buhari is representing is made up of thieves; Tinubu, Amechi, Amosun, Fashola and all these disgruntled PDP governors running to the APC.

Do you think Goodluck will be prosecuted and he won't open the can of worms? Accept my apologies again but you are a fool Sir!

OBASANJO’S UNWARRANTED ATTACK ON PRESIDENT JONATHAN IS ODIOUS, REPUGNANT AND SELF-SERVING

We find the false claims and allegations reportedly made against President Goodluck Jonathan by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday in Abeokuta very odious and repugnant.

As we have had cause to say before, it is most regrettable indeed that a man like Chief Obasanjo, who should know better, chooses to repeatedly, wantonly, and maliciously impugn the integrity of a sitting President of his country for the primary purpose of self-promotion.

It is obvious from Chief Obasanjo’s serial vituperations against President Jonathan who is doing his best to positively transform Nigeria for the benefit of all of its people that he has willfully chosen to close his eyes to the present administration’s good works and intentions. For reasons best known to him, Chief Obasanjo has set his mind on regime change by fair or foul means.

Otherwise, it would be completely senseless, irrational and out of place for Chief Obasanjo, who still claims to belong to the same party as the President, to accuse President Jonathan of plotting to win the rescheduled presidential elections by “hook or crook” and planning to plunge the nation into crisis if he loses the election.

For the record, President Jonathan has no such intention and will continue to give the greatest possible support to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant federal agencies to ensure that the rescheduled elections are successfully conducted.

Indeed, it is not President Jonathan who remains faithful to his oath of office who is trying to plunge Nigeria into crisis, but Chief Obasanjo who is scheming to plunge the country into chaos in pursuit of a selfish and highly egocentric agenda.

Chief Obasanjo’s plot with others within and outside the country to thwart the general elections and foist an unconstitutional Interim National Government, which he hopes to head on the nation is well known to us, but by the Grace of God Almighty, his odious plan to return to power through the back door will fail woefully.

We know very well that it is in pursuit of this nefarious plot that the former President continues to sow the seeds of discord and crises in the polity by purporting to remain in the ruling party while openly consorting with the opposition, endorsing its candidates and predicting victory for opposition candidates in a manner most unbecoming of a supposed elder statesman.

Thankfully, the vast majority of Nigerians who are patriotic and right-thinking cannot be fooled by Chief Obasanjo’s antics.

We urge them to be assured that President Jonathan’s commitment to democracy in all its ramifications remains constant and that he will never be party to the use of any unlawful means to remain in office or gain political advantage over his opponents.

The President stands by his commitment, which he reaffirmed on national television last Wednesday that on his watch, all elections in Nigeria, will be free, fair and credible, and that all certified election results will be respected.

As President Jonathan has also assured the nation, the rescheduling of the general elections was in the best interest of the nation and was never driven by any ulterior motive on the part of government as Chief Obasanjo and others have alleged.

President Jonathan will continue to put his best efforts into giving Nigeria quality leadership and will not be distracted from his purpose by unwarranted and needless criticism by persons who ought to know better.

The President also continues to trust in the good judgment of Nigerians and to believe that in appreciation of his sincere efforts to move the country forward over the past four years, they will re-elect him for a second term on March 28, 2015 with a mandate to pursue his agenda for national transformation to a successful conclusion.

That's a kid talk. GEJ is only respecting him because of the roles he played in his enthronement as the president. If OBJ goes beyond his boundry, you will know the power a sitting president has. What Abacha did to him will be a child's play.

. Well my dear, I refuse to join issues with you on the 'insult' yo meted by saying I do not know the meaning of distract and nuisance! You know the problem with you APC guys is that you do not come to an arguement with logical points and facts, your desperation is always revealed by insults and senseless namecalling. If indeed your conscience has not bee mortgaged by your paymasters, you would atleast have tried to engage me in constructive examination of OBJs comments and input to the progress of this country in the past four years after his collossal eight years leadership marred with corruption, highhandedness, uninvestigated political assasinations, inflation, poverty and apprehension. This man has in his desperation to frustrate the present government said all sorts of things aagainst the person of GEJ a seating president, he has written propaganda letters, his own daughter replied him, he has castigated, insulted and maligned the government all aimed at creating distrust and chaos, he still did not succeed he went ahead to write a book, that one still did not work, now he is granting undue interviews, making endorsements and counter endorsements! For goodness sakes! Is OBJ the only ex-president? What of the like of shonekan, abdulsalam, IBB, shagari and co, why can't he retire and really behave like an elder statesman, why can't he advise the governement which he has access to without undue noise and politics? What else does he want, having ruled this country for close to 12 years, I think youths like you should advise him to either behave like a respected elder statesman or retire and allow this country to survive!
