Funny how with all the foul talk against GMB his name did not appear as allocating any oil blocks or owning any to himself. You also notice David west is not there. some how all the others can't say the same.
Even GEJ and Dienzani follow for the looting. Now people put it at the doors of GMB's election for 2015. it is obvious GMB is not looking at the oil for satisfying the people around or some greedy few, but collective development.
GEJ and petroluem minister are from ND,yet her people still suffer. We also know that oil blocks changed hands under GEJ. How has that affected the people in the creeks of the ND? Apart from pleasing the political support elements in the ND that will later bank roll him or intimidate political opponents.
South or North all the crooks exist. Desperately hussling for there own looting in oil, property, power or money. let me tell you folks even if GEJ win today he will still continue to maintain or give northern elements such things wo long as its not his seat in support of his bid and party. so stop fooling yourself its not a north verse south thing but a suffering multitude against a looting/plundering few. some folks get paid with money and others oil blocks. it's not to the benefit of the north or south in terms of development as this people are known to selfishly deprive more helpless mass and delude others in to thinking negatively about where the problem is.It will continue as long as this handfull of corrupt goverment cronies from any zone play ball and the masses continue to see the issues through ethnicity and others.

This news piece just like many others do not make sense...

Is it not possible for GEJ as the C- in - C to revoke the licences before their expiration since the allocations didn't follow due process in the first place?

Instead of just insinuating that the licenses will expire in 2016, why not state when the licenses where first granted and what tenure it has.

I have noticed two fundamental flaws in the current leadership of our country, they so belief every decision they make is right and when something goes terribly wrong, they blame everybody else and never themselves...

Northerners with all this money cannot develop their states, no youth empowerment, no scholarships offer to their people, no project that will benefit their people, they spend their money in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, uae, compare that with southerners/easterners that are made, many of them have scholarship program they are funding, they instal social amenities in their communities, its a shame to these northern elites.

You have hit on the very crux of the matter, Electro, namely that ALL those BILLIONS of dollars in petroleum export sales have been quietly shared among the extended family networks parasitically feeding fat around every single military dictator of northern extraction ever to grab power during Nigeria's 40-year long dark age that only ended in the late 1990's. As they feverishly stashed away Nigeria's oil wealth in Middle Eastern bank accounts, the born-to-drill criminal elite of northern Nigeria spent ZERO dollars to educate and employ the generation of destitute and desperate people right outside the doors of their own heavily-fortified mansions.

With NOTHING in the way of a formal education offered by the filthy-rich minority to the teeming poor majority in northern Nigeria, hungry hordes of illiterate young men have always been readily available for hire by the thousands, whenever the powerful and the greedy have reason to think that anarchy will benefit them politically or economically.

The latest manifestation of this deployment of northern Nigeria's youth as cannon fodder is the recent creation and rapid spread of that sublimely evil death-worshiping cult named Boko Haram, and the role played by their clandestine leader, Weeping General Buhari-Boko Hari, who has been selected as the dim-witted point-man, by an increasingly desperate northern petroleum-monopolizing cartel comprising silent profiteers with no other legitimate means of income.

On a very positive note, indications that The International Criminal Court has confirmed rumors about ongoing investigations into serial election loser Buhari's terrorist links, are very welcome indeed, at this moment in time.

WE SAY NO TO ETHNIC AND RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS.

WE REFUSE TO BE DIVIDED ALONG ETHNIC AND RELIGIOUS LINES BY THE CORRUPT ELITES OR THEIR HIRED HANDS; JUST SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO LOOT OUR COLLECTIVE RESOURCES.

GMB will put a stop to that; the man has natural and deep aversion for corruption and injustice; that is why Northern elites, Southern elites, Eastern elites all don't want him.

Your propaganda has failed. Nigerians want change and are ready for change. Buhari personifies the hope of millions of the masses which GEJ has dashed. The masses trusted and choosed him. But immediately he became president, he abandoned the masses and chose his friends- the elites.

Someone or people like Pat Utomi can only become President or be able to do anything about Nigeria's problem after someone like Buhari has packed all the rubbish away: after he has dealt with corruption, rendered the vested interests (cabals) powerless, strengthened our institutions.

An economist leader is not what Nigeria needs at the moment...... what we need is a courageous, revolutionary charismatic leader with high integrity. A revolutionary leader can engage the service ten good economist. it is not possible the other way round.

Besides, it would seem Pat Utomi was complicit in the demise of Platinum Bank. The integrity of Buhari is way way higher than that of Pat Utomi.

By reviving a dead and buried tyrant from Nigeria's dinosaur era named Boko Hari, Jonathan Goodluck's second term in office is assured. Why the Nigerian opposition party had to reach yet again into the septic tank of history to retrieve such a blood-thirsty and uneducated buffoon as Buhari to serve as a presidential candidate is as perplexing as it is fortuitous.

Why the northern oil mafia did not see fit to field a highly educated proven leader of men such as former military governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Marwa, to contest Nigeria's upcoming presidential elections, is one of those puzzling enigmas that will persist for a good while after Weeping General Boko Hari suffers his 15th electoral defeat in a row, and proceeds to order the usual civilian massacres out of loser's spite.

Wow I had no idea. Correction noted. Now I can see how such a highly qualified and thoroughly educated proven leader like Marwa was not allowed to run for president in the upcoming election, despite being ENORMOUSLY popular throughout Nigeria's south-lands.

So, in a nutshell, blind religious considerations took precedence over documented governing performance, leaving the field open for a brain-dead chimpanzee like Weeping General Buhari to wind up being set up for yet another election defeat at the polls. How sad indeed for all who have reposed trust and hopes in a geriatric and senile monkey, that they will get to see and partake of weeping, crying, sobbing and wailing YET AGAIN. I feel so sorry to hear about this fundamental error in judgement, on the part of Nigeria's opposition party.

This pitch for Dr. Jonathan's re-election is a hard sell, the hardest sell of all.

Most Nigerians do not know about the lack of transparency surrounding their country's oil industry, particularly the allocation of OMLs and OPLs. Unfortunately, the Jonathan administration did not fight to remove this opacity for the six years it has been in power. It did not sponsor any executive bill in this area and fight hard to see it to a logical conclusion, i.e. passed into law. As I write this, the petroleum industry bill remains just that: a bill. undecided After how many years of the GEJ administration sitting in power with a party majority in the legislature? Two? Three? Four? Five?

Nigeria has serious structural problems in the way government is run, some of which you have highlighted above. Instead of the JEG administration to restructure this Republic and strike a blow on behalf of Nigerians yet unborn, it decided to play politics and maintain the status quo, cozying up to the very interests you now claim the administration will fight against - if given a second term in office. Too little, too late.

Instead of baiting and slandering whole ethnicities at this eleventh hour, you would have been better served advising the administration to ACT while it still had the time and also to make sure its own hands were squeaky clean.

It is too late now. The GEJ administration now has a well deserved notoriety for embracing, promoting and nurturing corrupts
tion and graft - a notoriety that will likely cost it dearly at the polls.

We will see how it turns out in a few weeks time...

I agree with you 100%. That's why I will be voting against the APC at the state level in the polls. The party does not meet my requirements for an open and transparent government of integrity at the state level.

I will also be voting against the PDP at the federal level for the same reason. The PDP does not meet my requirements for integrity, openness and transparency at the federal level.

I mentioned the parties I would be voting against and the reasons why. So far I have said nothing, absolutely nothing about who I will be voting for. There is nothing that says I must vote for the APC or PDP at the state or federal level. There are at least half a dozen other parties to choose from.

I also concede you have the right to vote for or against whomever you wish. But facts are facts and they will not be wished away, hence my first post on this thread. The PDP has failed at the federal level and it should go. The APC has failed at the state level (in the state I reside) and it should go.

From my humble opinion, having party faithfuls is not the same as having party greedy faithfuls that worships money and bribe, from the write up, u can see the amount those men makes from the oil blocks, do u think they will not pay(bribe) all those greedy party faithfuls so as to make sure that bill doesn't see the light of the day? Also some of those so called party faithfuls have stakes in the oil blocks, GEJ can't force them to pass the bill, all he needs to do is to wait for that stipulated time(2016) when those blocks will be re allocated weather the bill is passed or not. Na that time u go know say khaki no be leather.

All this isn't a game to me.

Misgovernance by our so-called leaders has had, and will continue to have very real consequences for all of us, today and tomorrow. If other Nigerians choose to treat these things casually, then that is their problem, not mine.
