I just only want to thank God and every1 in this forum .my brother got his visa approved on Monday with the help of some of the information shared on this forum .I want to sincerely thank everyone that has contributed to this forum . He actual applied to attend a conference without any travel experience in the past . He was asked the state where the conference would be holding, the name of his sponsor,he gave as Mrs Lola Ade (one of his church memebers )and lastly asked to tell them about his church .I once again wanna thank you all. 1 Like |

I completed and submitted my online visa application form on 31st of Dec 2014 and had my interview on the 2nd of Feb 2015. I was asked about 5 questions bothering on why i want to visit the USA, my contact. (his occupation and state of residence). The Visa Officer (a lady) also asked questions about my job and family. I didnt need any of the documents that i went with eg evidence of employment, tax clearance, confirmation of appointment etc, etc, etc. I was done in about three minutes and i was told to go to DHL head office in Abuja for my visa. I did not tell lies in any way. I have not also travelled outside Naija before but i had my visa. |

hi good people of nairaland, please i need urgent response,i want to attend a Church conference in Dallas Texas on 19th this month that is 4 days time,i booked hotel online with my Credit card and confirmed it,my problem now is that they did not deduct the money, they said i should pay on arrival, hope this will not affect me at the port of entry? thanks |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by justwise(m): 12:14pm On Feb 15, 2015 |
Omooso: You should be happy that they did not ask for money upfront just in case if you don't get the visa. Not asking for money upfront is normal with hotel reservation. 1 Like |

Good day everyone, This is my situation. I am a final year student from University of Lagos, my convocation ceremony is on March 27 - 30, 2015. I will start my NYSC on May 5, 2015. I am in the process of applying for a B-2 tourist visa, I have all the necessary documents and my father is my sponsor. The documents include my passport, print out, dad's bank statement, c of o of our house, family picture, family chart, print out of nysc timetable, letter from school etc However, -the person inviting me is an international student - I travelled to Dubai and Ghana 2 years ago - my sponsors bank statement is that of his business. -I will like to travel on April 1 for 30 days Is my NYSC enough to show that I will be back after my short holiday? I also have 4 siblings and both parents here in Nigeria. I'm just concerned because I have read that the interviewer doesn't ask for documents which I feel would show my strong ties. Can you please advise me accordingly. Thank you. |

Please house....if sum wants to go for a 6day training with an aviation academy in the us,what type of visa category will I apply for?will it be a B1/B2? |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by thegreengooner(m): 4:23pm On Feb 16, 2015 |
solojay2002: Visas are granted based on the applicant's ability to prove genuineness of the purpose of travel as well as show strong ties to Nigeria as evidenced by gainful employment, socio-economic and family ties and a clear indication that the would be traveller is not intending to emigrate under false pretences. In plain English, if you can't prove clearly that you are who you say you are, are going for what you say you are going for and can support yourself and return without being a burden to the society, you are most likely going to be refused a visa. |

Dear nairalander, with a 2 years multiple entry visit visa. what are the possible ways of changing the current visa status to any residence visa status.thanks |
Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 9:08am On Feb 17, 2015 |

If it's an uncertified training, I.e no certificate will be issued or no credit accumulated, then a B1/B2 visa would do. But if a certificate will be issued that amounts to earning academic credit, then you'd need another category of visa, I.e M or F visa. Thnks.. #13daysmore#teamsuccess. 1 Like |
