How can you decide to leave out FFK's sarcasm and personal insults on the General, I personally watched an interview where the minister of state works refused to ans questions on issues but was attacking the personality of GMB, what about Fayose, okupe and Reno. This decision to support both good and bad utterances of both campaign booths was taken by both PDP and APC supporters.
So don't peg it on one because you belong to the other.

I have had reasons to argue in favour of GEJ (despite being a GMB supporter) in my office, and no matter the issue, I always stand my ground, justify my assertions with reasons and do not get pained becos the other GMB supporters do not buy into my stance at that particular time. It's only a dumb person that will not agree that every human has a good and bad side.

Now for you to come out and say you are abandoning the progressives because of a disagreement that happened just this morning that both sides even played a role in blowing out of proportion shows that you may not be entirely sincere about your underlying reason for wanting to jump ship. In my opinion, and simply put, Barcanista has been showing the characteristics of an FFK for a while. Remember when FFK first flew the kite that he was fighting within the APC fold because he felt the party was going to field a moslem-moslem ticket, only for him to get a meeting with the president a week or so later, get a reprieve from a major ongoing federal criminal and money laundering case against him, and immediately jump ship?

A similar scenario was enacted when Barcanista created that thread in which he was criticising those who might have advised Buhari to shun that clearly partisan, anti-opposition, AIT- and NTA-sponsored "debate" for presidential candidates. Barcanista's reasons in that thread were very filmsy, in my opinion, and I'm sure he ate some crow as subsequent events proved him way off target.

What stood out more to me in his (Barcanista) style of writing was his propensity for always describing Buhari with unashamedly superlative words, such as "The people's General," "The amiable General," "The most respected General," and so on, sometimes multiple times in an expression. Those things sounded to me like the action of the fable rat eating away on your flesh - while blowing cool air on the resulting wound on you - to conceal the damage that's being done, all while you sleep!

I work in an office where I am always accused of being sentimental because I never join the bandwagon of those who never see anything good in this regime. The other day, a colleague insulted me, but I let it go.
I never fail to tell them though; I have my beliefs. I have a sense of right from wrong. But don't shout down on me if I do not shout #change in the hallways like you do. Everyone has a right to choose where they want to be or what they want to believe in. We all have different perspectives and opinions about issues.
