Im currently studying in France and would like to restart in Germany from september as I dont like it here. Im considering frankfurt, Hamburg or munich. I would like to know from experienced people which of this cities would be better, if its possible to obtain a german study permit in germany without having to return to naija, living conditions, how blacks are treated, how to find affordable accomodation and the possibility of getting a job whilst studying for some side cash. Thanks alot

Check uni- assist website for the payment, u need the IBAN and swift code for the payment. U will find those codes on the website if u explore the payment FAQ session. I prayed through my brother over there and he sent me the scan copy of the payment slip

First you need to learn german.
Which level do you want to start from? bsc or master or contuniation from, where you are in France?
How would you sponsor your education? those 3 cities are okay.
What course do you want to study?
Depending on your current status, you would apply for your visa from France as i guess you have spent 6 months or more living in France.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. I'll be sponsored by my parents till I have things settled and probably get a job. I currently hold a valid french student residence card. Can I learn german at the university before starting my main studies? Read they offer a year preparatory course before beginning your main course. Also how do I go about getting cheaper accomodation? I think i'll be heading to Hamburg, do you have any information on it? Thanks alot. I have had it with the french and france.

sis i like your determination, but i will like to ask if you are planning to stay with your cousin because of your children, schooling here will not be so easy having two children to cater for,its not like the community we are use to that people can help to take care of your children when you are in school or not available, you can also take them to kindergarten which you have to pay for while in sch but if you are planning to stay with your cousin ,its okay,The educational system here requires a whole lot,as their grading system is high, 90 as their utmost "A"unlike our 70. just please weigh your options well cos children are involved.

New to the forum. This is my first post on nairaland, so i really don't know how it works.
I'd like to study in Germany for my Masters program. I know a bit about the requirements; the blocked account, the IELTS and the high standard of living in Germany. Won't be finishing my NYSC program till October this year. My plan is to get an admission for the 2016 winter semester. I have a BSc in Computer Science and my intention is to study Business Informatics or Business Information System. I know about Daad.de and Anabin but personally I'd prefer if someone can help me with a detailed list of requirements or advice/help before i progress. From what have read on the forum, my major obstacle seems to be my cgpa - I finished with a 2.7
Please is it still possible to gain an admission into a German institution with that? Please any help or advice will be appreciated. Been dreaming of the Technical university of Berlin for the past couple of weeks. Won't really mind getting a PGD in a Germany if that's what it takes(Just want to exhaust all possible options before i move to that). I just want out of this mess of a country

Just that you would like to go to Technical University Berlin. NOt sure of the course there but i think for winter this year you may be able to make it depending on the school, thats if you will pass out of NYSC first or second week in October. Some schools have enrollment till late october/early november.

You can check uni of stuttgart, Cologne uni of appliced sciences. The have both summer and winter semester master programs , in information systems and computer science line. Programs are in English.

uni Stuttgart should be out of the list, it's a competitive school, I was rejected there because of my low cgpa (above 3.6) which is even way higher than his.

It has two versions and as a student who intend to go for an academic pursuit u should apply for the academic version, that's just common sense. No offence intended!!

Its so weird that no one here could even contribute by answering my question on this thread just because I am not seeking for an admission or so I think. I did not see the need to flood this thread with just a simple question so as to draw attention but I doubt if no one has seen it since yesterday that it was posted.

Thanks house for the replies, it's much appreciated.
I checked the programs they offer at TUB and Business Informatics is one of them. Please do you have any idea if the the 2.7 cgpa will be an obstacle? And if it is, do you know any other alternatives (Schools that might accept it, preferably in the western part of Germany)?

Its quite simple, email the embassy the last statement the bank sent to you that is if you still have your 8k intact. If not argument your account with some euros to have a statement showing a balance of 8k euros. An email from you showing your balance will do.
