Speaking during the event Mr Jimi Agbaje the Gubernatorial Candidate of the PDP in Lagos state called on all Lagosians to rally round the president. Stating that the reason why opposition can abuse president Jonathan is because he has allowed freedom of information and expression as compared to lagos state which has refused to domesticate the Law. On corruption he cited the report by Transparency International which rated President Jonathan as the best among all previous presidents and heads of State in Nigerian in terms of fighting corruption He Praised the president for bring down food imports with his agricultural transformation, wondering the governors of Lagos and Rivers who took the president to court for setting up the sovereign wealth fund could turn around and accuse the president of not saving for the rainy Day The chief Host of the event who is also the Director of the directorate of of Youth Mobilisation Rt Hon Abdullahi Maibasira wondered why a party with a 72 years old presidential aspirant . a party chairman that is almost 80 and a youth leader approaching his 50s will be talking change when it is them who are in dire need of change. He told the audience how his driver was beheaded by Buhari's Supporters during the 2011 post Election violence in Kaduna , wondering why Buhari who jailed Fela for keeping his own hard earned $4000 could turn a blind eye as his ADC ferried several brief cases stacked with Cash into the country. Senator Obanikoro Urge those present to Support Jimi Agbaje so as to halt the looting of lagos state by Alpha Beta who have siphoned over 206 billion naira belonging to Lagos state. On His Part Jude Imagwe the Senior special assistant to the president On students and youth Matters stated that the PDP is the only party that has remained consistent . According to Jude Nobody believed the lagos - Ibadan express way and the Benin - Ore road can receive the kind of attention it is presently receiving from president Jonathan, he further stated that "A situation where farmers can donate 5 Billion Naira to a party's campaign points to one Fact, that transformation has taken place. Speaking on Behalf the Lagos youth the state PDP Youth Leader assured the Gathering that the PDP and Lagosians will not vote for people who were milking the state through the sun burn Yatch Neither will they vote for a clique which has continued to deny young people access to education in Lagos , He promised to help mobilise support so that the president can surpass his 2011 record. You people are kidding, right? In as much as I think JK is a technocrat that will have good ideas, he comes with a lot of baggage from the party platform he has chosen! PDP dosen't have a good track record in the SW States. All the Governors they've produced have not helped their cause at all. It's been from scandal to scandal, plenty violence, in fighting and little or no development! Tinubu might not be perfect but he's the only politician in recent times who has brought a performing successor out of obscurity to limelight. We didn't know Fashola in 2007 but we trusted Tinubu's word and see what has happened 8 years down the line. So pray tell, why should we now jettison the words of Tinubu and Fashola (now combined) in presenting Ambode and instead listen to Bode George, Ogunlewe and Obanikoro in endorsing Jimi Agbaje? 3 Likes |
