37500 at fatayi Williams, and you'd be directed to st Nicholas, there you'd pay 5200, making 42700. Catatonic Williams is just by the foot of apongbon bridge. It's not hard to find from the bridge.

can anyone who did medicals(including chest xray) recently in the lagos hospitals confirm the cost?

. Documents for work experience are your pay slips, employer reference letter, your Cv outlining your duties. The number of years depends on your nominated occupation and the assessing body. My assessing body just required at least one year experience in nominated occupation. Why do you want to back date? What's your assessing body and occupation?

My assessing body is ACS and occupation is system analysts. I only get points when I have 3 years exp. and above.

Are u for 189, 190 or 489? I'm looking for a state for that NOC. Did ur Nigerian B.Sc get Australian equivalency?

I am not qualified for any migration points because I studied while working. I worked for so many yrs but won't be considered as skilled employment. My experiences and years give me suitability only.

. How many years of experience do you have? ACS requires how many years of experience 4 assessment? Also, the visa subclass u want to opt for depends on the class your occupation falls in. (189,190,485). point test are based not only on experience but also on age,IELTS,degree, state sponsorship. So which of the visa subclass are u looking at? Have u written IELTS?

BossLady, Good to know you arrived Australia Safely. How are you guys settling down to the new life. What are the prospects you are seeing as per securing a job and adjusting to the new environment. What of accommodation ? Were you guys able to secure a temporary one from Nigeria. Any advice for people like us yet to arrive.

Can someone please help clarify, the subject of "de facto relationship". Can I easily put the name of my intended spouse on my application for a student visa.
Will any document be required about her, if yes when will this be, during my visa application or, her possible visit

Thanks

Your intended spouse can only be said to be in a "de facto relationship" with you if both of you have been living together for at least one year and you have evidence to prove it. So it all boils down to your living circumstances, whether you have been living & doing things together for at least one year. Whether you have a house or other lease agreement in both your names, whether you operate a joint account etc etc

But make no mistake about this, they will surely ask for proofs. Check this link http://www.immi.gov.au/visas/including-family-members.htm

And check this booklet for the kind of evidence that will be required of you, not exactly for your visa subclass but I believe the evidential requirements is similar. Check pages 37 - 41
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1127.pdf

They may not ask for proof of relationship at this stage, if she is not going with you. However, putting her on your application will increase your financial requirements if not under SVP.

Hope this helps

Bro, its not compulsory you use an agent. You can enter your own details. Yea, after submitting GTE and svp forms you might be asked to submit 3months statement. They reply to emails fast, since their 9am is our 11pm or so, you can either call or mail them at that time... They respond to calls well, ill suggest you call in to get faster responses. Cheers!

They may be handling other applications at the moment, check their contact and ring them to talk to someone about where you are from and your intentions. You can reach nisha @spi. vic. edu. au , she responded after i mailed. Do not rely on the online system, check for their forms on their website, many usually got it h=there, download and attach as an email to them. Remember to call in.
cheers!

Hey hey!

Accommodation - No biggie. We signed a lease on a beautiful apartment today. Fully furnished 2 bedroom townhouse, ac, internal laundry, store room, patio, gated complex, duplex-like (rooms up, living area n kitchen down), close to a gazillion shops, main road and bstop (as we dont have a car yet)....all for 300 per week...which is one of the perks of livibg in a regional area. We got temp accommodation for 220 a week (gst included), but shared kitchen amenities. It's a seven day adventost convention centre, and the caretakers have been very helpful...driving us up and down and giving us food and a stroller......most people here are very nice. We secured it before arrival, but didnt pay unyil arrival. I found it via the Townsville online yellow pages after plenty research...as others were quoting higher prices, and airbnb was doing skoin skoin cos of the Nigerian factor.

License - although my license has expired, I was told I can still convert it before it is 2yrs expired...so anyone with an expired one and finidng hard to renew in Naija can still get one here...but confirm with your state tho, if not qld.

Jobs - We only actively started looking on Thursday...bombed seek already...expecting call backs *fingerscrossed* But we have been out in the middle of working days, and eveyone seems to have something doing...just a few people ans mothers laying around...so I gyess unemploykent isnt much of an issue here..not perfect though.

Can anyone answer why their female school uniform skirts are so short here? Lol...e be like sey make i add like 3yards lol.

Hi Gogochocolate,

I have been itching to consult with you on a few issues for quite some time. i even dropped you a pm but no response. Can you please help? I intend to assess my work experience on Engineers Australia, but i'm in a bit of a jam. Firstly, can i apply as a technician and still obtain points for my degree in Engineering? Thank you

Apologies Scrollmeout, i have been traveling a lot quite lately and barely had time to come online. I know Engineers Australia assess you either as an engineering manager, engineering technologist or engineering manager depending on the nature of your job. I think you should be able to get points for degree in engineering if the reviewer finds the content of your degree equivalent to the Australia Bachelors Degree. I was assessed as an engineering manager so i may not know the nitty gritty of what category a technician would be placed in. However the engineering Australia booklet should be your guide for know. Keep asking yourself if you are writing according to the instruction not according to what you like .

I googled and googled and kept on google-ing...till I came across the online yellow pages and found this place. You really dont need to know antbody, as ppl here are quite helpful.....we dont know anybidy personally herre, just a few acquiantances we met online.

If you dont want a furnished apartment, you can get from like 200 for a 2 bed...but that means you have to buy or rent furniture, tv, kitchen appliances etc......and then if you have to move, you have to pack them .
