The Jezebel Of Our Time by joseph1832(m): 2:12pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
The Jezebel of our time, Alluring and seducing. Dazzles like the stars, Hips and curves As rich as the Tsars. Her rhymes sing hymns Of seductive rhymes, That chime the hearts Of all who struts. Her swagger stagger The best of men, Causing lustful desires To fly like Vultures, Scavenging for game To allay their shame. The Jezebel of our time, Lips as full as the blood red moon. Mouth as inviting as the Cave Of Wonders. Eyes that sparkles like Venus. Face as oval as the human heart. Hair as velvet as Silk. Figure like the letter Eight. Legs as slender like the Pelican. Buttocks as protuberant and curving like a scythe. The Jezebel of our time, Her flower so de flowered Like the ruins of Hiroshima and Nagazaki. Her ego so bruised and cruised Like that of a Jalopy. Her virtue so exploited Like a land milked of its resources. Her nature so fierce Like that of a raging sun that burns Everything it looks upon. The Jezebel of our time She tell tales of a life time Of greed and sloth Thus making people refer to her As a woman of easy virtue. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

I hate you Joseph1832!! You always make me feel like a lazy poet. I need to up my game. Nice poem. The theme is straightforward and on point = evil seductress. |

AllNaijaBlogger:LMAO. My friend you are not lazy, infact you're far from it. I write poems so even the common man can understand when he reads it. A lesson I learned from reading Wole Soyinka's write ups and Chinua Achebe's write ups. |

joseph1832: Wow! This is awesome. It should contain a hundred similies. Hmmmm About Wole Soyinka's 'poems' being for the common man, chai Check this: www.allpoetry.com/poem/10379361-Night-by-Wole-Soyinka |

joseph1832:I love this poem. So nice. But you were wrong about WS and I'm sure you never read him. Moreso, write poem as the spirit leads, not trying to write so that even a poetic mindless man will understand. GREAT WORK OF ART! I hope to read more. |

Laykorn thanks, however you misunderstood what I meant about Wole Soyinka. OMA4U, munchas gracias! I do read Wole Soyinka, not just his poems.... When I read Wole Soyinka's The Man Died, I felt lost in space... However Achebe is different, I feel at ease whenever I read his works, at least I know I won't go scrambling for a dictionary. |

timpaker:I could arrange a private meeting for you if you're willing. How do you like my tyburn poems? Lol. |
Re: The Jezebel Of Our Time by timpaker(m): 10:27am On Jul 04, 2015 |
joseph1832: Private meeting? Maybe in the afterlife. Your tyburn poems are great. But why waste it on erotic poems? are you a p0rnst*r? |

timpaker:Yea right, lemme take a rain check on that. Lol. Sex is an art, so is poetry and I sir I'm an artist. and no I'm not a IndecentStar. I'm just an artist who appreciates fine art!. Especially the art that gives pleasure to the senses... |
Re: The Jezebel Of Our Time by timpaker(m): 10:56am On Jul 04, 2015 |
joseph1832: "Pleasure to the senses..." And fine art are to be explicit right? Nice logic! |
Re: The Jezebel Of Our Time by joseph1832(m): 11:16am On Jul 04, 2015 |
timpaker:Yes bro. Pleasure to the senses. Art arouses the senses, it makes us see things and experience things different ways thus giving pleasure to the senses. And yes fine art are normally explicit. i.e explicit with gore/horror, explicit with sexual imagery, explicit with ridicule, explicit with nonsense or explicit with beauty/magnificence. Artists like Michael Angelo, Bottecelli, Borsch, Donatello, Alighieri, Raphael, Da Vinci etc made such explicit works of art!. |
Re: The Jezebel Of Our Time by timpaker(m): 11:55am On Jul 04, 2015 |
joseph1832: Hehehehehehehehehe. I was pulling your legs! If an art isn't explicit then it's just a piece without imagination. Good job bro! |

timpaker:Even I can't argue with this... Imagination is key thus, "your imagination controls you". Even Texanomaly will agree. 2 Likes |

joseph1832: I agree it can control you, if you let it. What goes into your mind has everything to do with what comes out. |
Re: The Jezebel Of Our Time by joseph1832(m): 11:52pm On Jul 04, 2015 |
texanomaly:Well I partially agree Tex. If we don't let what goes into our mind control us, what else can control us? Surely we all happen to imbibe what we see around us, thus "your environment influence you". |
