I think Lord's Choosen Charismatic Revival Church is building a University in Imo State. UnknownT: |

One of the silly craps I have read on this thread is relocation of IMSU from Owerre. It is absolute dumb to relocate rather than build a state university in orlu. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by amakenny: 8:21pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
BuddahMonk: Well, I think permanent location of IMSU in Orlu zone is better pushed for now than not; this unjust situation in Imo state: Citizens from the 12 Lgas of Imo state pay taxes, including the state's and federal allocations to build and sustain about 5 government universities and polytechnics in Imo state – all located nearest to the 9 LGAs in Owerri zone. Students from Orlu zone have to pay rent to Owerri landlords, patronize Owerri businesses, boost Owerri's population - this in turn necessitates individuals, state and federal governments rapidly expanding development and infrastructures in Owerri zone. Meanwhile, Orlu and other parts of Imo state remain rural 37 years since Imo state was created. Most unjust, even cruel, to suggest that Orlu zone makes do with a possible private university built by one of its persons, while the unjust situation of having only Owerri benefiting from advantages of closeness to government tertiary institutions remains. Private university hardly makes any impact on the area located. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Duru1(m): 8:26pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
amakenny: I guess Imo State government should first build a state university at Okigwe zone before having a serious thought about siting one at Orlu zone. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by amakenny: 8:34pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
Duru1: Okigwe has since been a university town. Okigwe serves nearby Abia state university, Uturu; as lots and lots of the students and lecturers of ABSU live in Okigwe. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Nobody: 8:58pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
emmysoftyou:there is only one "works layout" in owerri which is located near IMSU junction. That is actually Nkwerre Road. The only bad road in that area. I dunno why Rochas has refused to work on the road or why the hotels located around that area have refused to at least pour laterite and sand on the road. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by emmysoftyou: 9:08pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
UnknownT:all these university re not popular at all.but am happy to know that such university exist in imo...wow... but wich one is hezekiah university? nawa o..hope they have enough students...i ve never heard from anyone saying I graduated from, rhema, hezekiah, osisahtech, tansians, and uturu... It s hard to see student from those school. Among all private university in the east,i must confessed without being bias, Madonna university okija,is well renown, reputable and most expensive university situated in okija, anambra state and has her branch in elele, rivers state.. but still believes the rest will rise up cos of new things coming out to replace the old ones... |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by UnknownT: 9:27pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
emmysoftyou:Most of the Private Universities are just starting. Like the Hezekiah University, the structures are just being put in place, i doubt if they have started admitting students. Gregory University started some years ago, her pioneer students have not yet graduated. Yes, i have friends that graduated from Tansian University Umunya, Renaissance University, Osisatech and some of them you mentioned. You can't compare Madonna University that was one of the pioneer private universities in the country to these ones that have not even started admitting/graduating students 1 Like |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by francizy(m): 11:47pm On Feb 17, 2015 |
Seriously, why are we like this? We're not united at all. This is where Hausa/Fulani people are better than us because the word unity is not enough to describe how they value each other and value themselves. We shouldn't be comparing one state with another in terms of which is better or worse. We shouldn't see ourselves better than our neighboring Igbo states. We do not love ourselves because it is only when we love ourselves we can extend the love outside. I love my tribe and always, I uphold her in any way possible. I love being an Igbo man and I will always love the letters I-G-B-O. Let's unit all and I will also love us to refrain from exchanging words too. By my beloveth Igbo people.. francizy: Healthy competition, draws in creativity, innovation, transforms, new ideas and more importantly makes you more competitive outside your enclave as in globalized world were you have to face the best.(Chinese, Indians etc). Merit is a cherries value in Igbo culture. And mediocre must be discouraged. Healthy competition can only achieve those, so encourage it. 1 Like |

investnow2013: I never knew about those ones, the location of that one at Achina isn't good atoll and they are not even marketing it, how will people know that such universities are located in such an obscure places. Pls they should as a matter fact fire up their marketing campaigns, am in Anambra but I don't know the existence of these two univ and what is happening there. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Nobody: 5:53am On Feb 18, 2015 |
Serious if there a state that deserve two state univ she is Imo state, do you know in 2011 the number of JAMBites from Imo alone dwarfted the number of 14States in North combine and 3states in South West. Yet Ogun have 2 states Univ and Kano just completed their second this year called Northwestern University The number of JAMBites from Ikeduru alone in one year could surpass everything Kano have to turn out in 3years Ikengawo: 2 Likes |

emmysoftyou: Thats where you get it wrong, the name "Anambra" is not a "mere" name. It carries alot of weight and pride...The mystic Omanbala river is the largest tributary to Orinmili Niger. Its a namr that depicts a people filled with beautiful culture, wealth and pride. Its the name of the river that enriches the agricultural belt around it. This river is where the legendary Eri settled and and beget his descendants...Alot of Omanbalas make their sacrifices at the River Omanbala and it hold a great destiny for them. So mr. emmysoft or whatever they call you it would be better you stfu than open it and spew nonsense. 1 Like |
