I hear most people in the oil sec work as contract staffs. Is that true? How much do they earn? Do they get other benefits like housing, food and Co allowance. |
Re: Oil Workers Zone. by scantee(m): 8:53am On Feb 22, 2015 |
philfrey08: Yes they are paid well. some earn far above the full time staff, for the allowances no, housing no, food YES. |
Re: Oil Workers Zone. by scantee(m): 9:07am On Feb 22, 2015 |
philfrey08: Their salaries are not fixed, at times they earn below what they usual received, while sometimes they earn above, I don't really know how they calculate it, I have a friend that works in electrical department in one of the big coy. when I was going through his pay slip some years back I noticed the increase & decrease in his earnings, he use to earn N678,296,12. at times close to 900k & above, while in some months he earns far below like N300k+. I believe the salary is determine base on monthly service entry. I.e evaluation of services rendered for the month. though the company pays for their PPEs every two weeks. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Oil Workers Zone. by Nobody: 11:16am On Feb 22, 2015 |
scantee:The increases came from field allowances. one is entitled to some daily pay when on the field , this is paid with salaries . I guess this is what you mean by service entry. |
