Harsh Wednesday[a poem]. by Fembleez1(m): 8:38pm On Feb 18, 2015 |
Harsh Wednesday. I masturbated; fornicated; and adulterated. I manipulated; corrupted; and murdered. I filled my platter with meat, my very own plastered-body whip will meet. Heavenly torture of troth strand sole, why doth thou touch my holy soul?. "From dust thou hath come, from dust thou must now return," the priest said. My soul sank when he said it. My lung leapt all in a swift to hit me, I wept!!!. My flaw! My flaw!, w'o'e fort'-shaking days when I was judged, I surveyed and slumped in 'hays'. The Ash Wednesday I braced-up my cross, The Harsh Wednesday I embraced my cross. All abstinence kept, all follies taint, Hell must not say "welcome," I became a saint. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Author Notes Inspired by the spirit of lent [ash Wednesday when it begins]. "w'o'e fort'-shaking days" can be :- "woe forty-shaking days" or "whole forty-shaking days". depends on how you'll like it. © George Adefemi. All rights reserved, 2015. |

First @ Op, Why did you choose to title it "harsh wednesday" instead of "ash wednesday"? |

"My flaw! My flaw! W'o'e fort'-shaking days." Is a malaprop for:- "My Lord! My Lord! Why have you forsaken me." |
