if you have a visiting visa to Canny and you wanna study in Canny, just come over with your visiting visa, apply to skl, get admission, pay tuition and scan your documents to cic so you can get your study permit..
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by mrnilobrawn: 9:30am On Feb 19, 2015
Virtually ALL current posters here are newbies...and all they post is QUESTIONS QUESTIONS QUESTIONS.....I can sincerely tell u all that virtually most response u will get to your queries cant be as quality as tje information u will acquire reading up from part 5 to date. unfortunately, most experienced gurus of the thread are now in Canada Bathling with studies and cold/Snow. PLEASE DO UR SELFS A FAVOUR and read....else u will have ur selfs to blame. canada visa application has no particular format or requirements, Cases are different. I believe every cases has been detailed in the past and with quality solutions proferred. all cases has been treated here more than numbers can count, reading through will absolutely giv u a sense of options to tackle your applications/delays.
folks now attach/place so much emphasis on SOP, be aware that SOP is not a basic/mojor requirment for study permit but rather a summary of ur case if complicated... Many has goten TRV without (powerful/convincing) SOP. Get the Basics right.
Please help us to help you..... Be more of a reader & contributor and less a benefactor.

visiting Visa can not be converted to study permit. You will have to apply from your home country or send your application to Los Angelis (LA in USA)... I think its easier applying to home country to increase binding home tie

it's really ludicrous that people don't want to read anymore, just asking for handouts.
For all the newbies on this thread, you just have to go through the thread from at least pt.5.
Most of the people answering questions learnt this way and you have to just sacrifice that time.
@Mrnilobrawn, great job though.

Hello thank you for response.
I applied using the paper application.
As at this morning i checked my status and it has changed to passport has beem dispatched from cannadian embassy acra gbana to vsf.

Its just my 5th week. I rememberwd that before i got the last visiting visa last november i did medical examination and i was granted 2years which is still running but the statement on the status right now is not clear to me. What does this suggest. Does it indicate a yes or a no answer.
Please reply.

It's possible you've been granted based on the fact that you did a recent medical examination hence you don't need further one. Just be optimistic. God has done it

How long did your visit visa take at the embassy before it came out and was it paper or online route...

If time is really against you submit like that and pray. If not wait until you can get your SOA of 4 months.
Remember that if you say you claim you are not working now, you may not come later to say you have been working !
The ball is in your court

hello house,
Last week I applied to confederation college in Ontario but i was surprised when a lady called me from Nigeria that she is a representative of that institution here in Nigeria (though i also received a mail from that college that their rep here in Nigeria shall contact me). she's asking for my credit card info in order to pay for processing fee of which am about to take send it.
Pls house, has anyone ever experienced this before? and
should i continue with the application?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by soji0509: 1:38pm On Feb 19, 2015
Please be careful with credit card info oOoO.
I have paid for someone before with my Nigerian debit card. You can even do a funds transfer to the school with the help of your bank.
The risk is too much should your credit card info be compromised. Beware of online Fraud. The reply you got could have been a man-in-the-middle attack. Prevention is better, safer and much more convenient than cure in my own view.

Kindly report her request to the school by sending them mail. I'm very sure that could not be instruction from the college.
