@everyone, I'll be relocating from the united states to south Korea(Seoul) for official purpose, sometime in june. I'm kinda tensed up a little bit, although I like the Asian culture, but would have preferred places like Philippine or India if I had my way. To the ogas at the top, how's life over there? Do they have Nigerian/African cuisine over there where I can always download my stomach? Dunno if my HTC one m8 Verizon unlocked (windows version) would work over there. As a guy, how would I fit into the system, especially with the language barrier? How is the transportation system over there? or do I need a car asap, if I do, what procedures to follow in other to get a driver's license there? How easy is it to learn their language? Do I need classes for it? Finally, what are hopes of foreigners? Do they give preferential treatment from one nationality to the other? Thanks in anticipation!!! |

@acadollar please sir, I like to as a few questions... 1.after a postgraduate study in SK, can one be gainfully employed? How easy is it? And what's the wages. 2. Can I say , from your explanation that without Proficiency in Korean, one can NEVER go far? 3. Do you think one can finally and permanently relocate to SK just as others settle in UK, US etc . Thank you acadollar for your response in advance . |
Re: Thread for South Korea prospective students by acadollar(m): 1:13am On Feb 17, 2015 |
ola2tu:Officially once you have a degree in high end engineering courses in Korea and get a job here,if u apply for perm resident, they grant it to u. U have an advantage also if u graduate wit good degree cos Korea wont let u go..they hire best brains they favor people here after studies. Some blacks are officially teaching in Universities here, and even working in Samsung, i learnt they also deploy people from here to there countries 3 Likes |

@OP, the problem is these schools hadly reply, I have been pushing for a language course, subsequently for a postgraduate, but they don't reply mails. So am wondering how can I make progress, am in talks with all the schools u mentioned , no reply yet from any |
Re: Thread for South Korea prospective students by WildChild00(m): 2:35pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
ola2tu: for a quicker admission to korea you can as well try this school kdischool.ac, use google, they are fast in replying your e-mail, and admission is currently on going. Similarly, you can also try seoul national university, admission is ongoing too for both undergraduate and postgraduate, undergraduate will end next week febuary, post graduate will end by march, tuition $3,700 for some courses; send dem an email, 24hrs u will receive a reply, note: during week days. You have to do ur research ur self, it is easy with google. 2 Likes 1 Share |
