One of the reasons they might ask them to come home is that, all their Ten finger prints will have to be captured and scanned. Also, their facial features will be scanned and syncronized to their generated BVN numbers which will in turn be linked to all thier bank accounts in the country.

CBN and the banks will find away around it.

Most of these banks have foreign business offices anyway. These may be employed for data capturing.

Even besides that, they also have foreign bankers too ie Union bank foreign banker in the States is Citi Bank; so Citi may capture for union and send it over.

All these are speculations, though with a high degree of probability.
bros believe me cbn won't change the policy ,anyone outside naija will simply have to go back and get it done ,although they may exempt those outside and allow them to continue using their existing account but with limitations placed on it .

True, but you need to update your records with the other banks so that your accounts can be linked to your BVN.

The project is a joint 'baby' of the Bankers Committee and CBN as such, it has a central database.

Why is there a deadline though? Does it mean no new person can open a bank account after that time? If one turns 18 after June, so they cannot do banking because deadline for some BVN collection is past?

Now, that I have two BVN nos, wetin I go come do, sell the other no? shocked grin

You do not need to enroll in all 5 banks that you have. once you get a BVN number in one Bank it is okay for all Banks
