hayqinsbFX:... Getting into Medical school is very difficult even for citizens.... some go outside Canada to finish up... so, have a rethink... it ain't easy and crossing over is next to impossible from Nursing... might be done but I doubt it... |

Siga: If the person is super smart and good and as soon as they are here and associate with some doctors that could give them reference letter, it might eventually work out for them, not easy but possible, However, the student MUST be determined to work extra hard and dont get caught up in Canadian life of the evening. |

Siga: Yes, you most times will have to wait and the reason is cos of the opened slot per year for the medical school, and the competition and that is why i said the person MUST be determined, i often advice people to study Nursing as first degree if you plan to go to Medical school, so while the waiting, you could be working . . . . Will you have to be patient and wait - Yes Will you have to work your behind off to make it happy? Yes Is it worth the wait? Yes. So i so much agree with you that if it is someone that Dada and mama from back home are on your case to be called Doctor kia kia, then, it is not for that fella |

But still we give God thanks . . . .The cold na something else this year oh, we might have to check all those Nigerians that came in this year to make sure they are all ALIVE and well oh . . . But it will soon be over sha |

bc2015:In Canada, you need a nursing degree to practice as RN, anything less than that is an health care aide, care assistant or practical nurse. I don't know how it works in naija though. 1 Like |

Update on my application which I entered on the 15th January. About 5 weeks I got info that passport has been dispatched. Quite disappointed. Cos I could not imagine reason for a denial. Av not seen the response anyway am expecting it to be sent next week. I had an unused 2years visiting visa to canada. I decided to change status because it's not wise just going to canada without utilising their education system. I have a job here, my salary acct was well funded. What else could I have done. Property document included. Total worth 37m. I work with a financial institution and I am aware they didn't call for any verification. Of I wanted to run away would have done so with my visiting visa since last year. They gave me 2 yrs visiting with my kids last november and I did medical as well So why on earth the refusal. If indeed it is cos am awaiting the passport. Going forward. I intend to travel with the visiting next week with my kids. But don't know how I can apply from Los Angeles office since that's an option and I will be going to us as well. I don't wanna apply from nigeria again.anyone with good help. Please reply and help a sister... Bukola.. uote author=bukinoversace post=30858869]Hello people. O quite appreciate your valued information so far. This is my first post here. I already had a 2 years visiting and running us and canadian visa. I currently put on for student visa with all neccessary info on January 19th 2015. I work in a financial mortgage bank so I used my access accoint and salary account here but up till now I have not heard any info from the embassy on the success of my application Am scared kind of because the money I put in the access account was moved same day of my application but my salary account is well funded up to 11m. Does the embassy verify salary account ? If yes at what week. Am already on the 5th week of application. So so scared.... but am hopeful with God. Thank you Bukola[/quote] |

Good Day Nairalanders...please i need clarification on my visa application documents to canada; 1. i have worked in a microfinance bank for over 4yrs, where i earn 180,000/month after tax. do i need to show tax clearance certificate as i do not have one. although the bank deducts tax from the workers salary (PAYE) which does reflects on my pay slip. 2. I intend to use my salary account with the microfinance bank, will the VO accept statement of account from my salary account with the bank? I currently have over N800,000 in my salary account with the microfinance bank and i intend to apply for a 2 weeks vacation to see my first cousin in canada. 3. food and accommodation will be taken care of by her, what document does she need to provide apart from her permanent residency card, utility bill and prove of where she works (her ID card). 4. my travel history includes; Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Benin republic and Togo 5. does she have to mail origonal copy of letter of invitation to me, or is the scanned signed copy okay?? 6. my ties in nigeria are my husband and my work and couple with the fact that i will be travelling to UK with my husband by August this year. apart from all these documents, i included; police clearance, marriage cert, to whom it may concern letter, letter of consent from my husband and utility bills of our present house of residence. what else could be lacking, please i urgently need answers. God bless |
