Vek2015:If you have already sent them email ...fine . Just continuously send a reminder to them for 5 consecutive days. I'm presuming you used "contactca@wes.org". I've gotten experience of them responding and not responding for this type of querry ....and yet, they eventually did not proceed to evaluate the second degree as desired by the appicants. Most important thing is you send it to the right email and make sure you send reminders consecutively. Meanwhile, not sure there is any advantage that the evaluation of one degree offer you than evaluating two degrees.....except ofcourse apart from the time it will take so i will advise you to know the reason why you're requesting for such. Cheers . |

yokus: Congrats! But you will need to take a chill pill and join the queue. From my observation and calculations, expect MR around May, except AVO increases speed. I am not far from you as I got my PER on Tuesday, 17th Feb |

damkollins: Thank God you are back...you have been a blessing to many here.. Quick question here. 1)- Husband main applicant (Master degree merit + BSC 2.1) do we need to evaluate both as i see from previous comment that only the masters will suffice. is this true? 2) - Myself co applicant (HND lower credit + Graduate cert 1year course from UK, i actually doubt i can evaluate 1 year course - must I evaluate?? is it a must to evaluate spouse's credential, i dont even mind doing IELTS but then the point for that section wont be completed. 3)- can't husby rack up all the points without the mark for spouse? because adding my points will only set him back by some points. Though he will indicate been married but will like to be evaluated alone which gives him better point is this possible?? |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by damkollins(m): 5:27pm On Feb 19, 2015 |
9jabiggurl:1.Because of time it may take to evaluate the two,you can opt to do the highest degree.......if you have time on your side, evaluate both since it's same amount. Even if you evaluate both, only the highest will be used to award you points. 2.Evaluation of your certificate as a spouse and IELTS is an added advantage for hubby so if you can do it,endeavour to make them reality. 3.He will not rack up the points for single applicants since he's already married and has indicated his married status. As much as possible ,please support him as much as you can. Cheers |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by hmnnn: 7:28pm On Feb 19, 2015 |
I see damkollins has answered your question but let me add that, doing ielts and the evaluation of your cert will afford more points for your hubby. Those points may likely make the difference when cic will make a draw, more especially if you don't have the opportunity of getting a provincial nomination. The highest score one can get without a job offer and a provincial nomination is 600 out of the total 1200. From my observation, i see people who already have close to 500 without those two. At the moment, CIC has issued invitation to apply for permanent residency to just a little over 1558people with the lowest score being 818 and they have a target of 185,000 people this year with just 12-15 draws planned(SAW A NEWS PUBLICATION SAYING THIS). The likely implication of these is that they may have to give invitations to people in the pool who have less than 600, which may result in serious jostling as there are a lot of people in that bracket and as such, any extra point one can get might just make a difference. Meanwhile, i think evaluating you may need to contact WES to determine whether you should evaluate your two qualifications or just the graduate cert. 9jabiggurl: |

Wow!!! I must commend this thread for all the valuable info shared especially by Solomonwis and other contributors. God bless your selfless service. Wish I had discovered this thread earlier, would not have wasted money on David Cohen for representation. Please my spouse and I have completed and passed our IELTS but our ECA reports are still in progress. I just received a mail from WES that they would need to verify my information from my institution, thru the help of this thread, i sent an email to oau@etx-ng.com ( went to Ife) to help me fast track this. I want to find out how long this verification thing can take and how will it impact on the 20 business days WES promised to deliver. And concerning the proof of funds, cant we just open a fixed deposit account and get donations to put in it because what we are honestly counting on is our gratuity payment which we can only get upon resignation. Abeg people help me. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 10:46am On Feb 21, 2015 |
Fatima007: My dear,if the rules say do not borrow, please do not."Donation" may put your application through unnecessary questioning and might raise suspicion. I know of 2 cases where the visa office has requested for between 2 to 3 years of bank statements showing salary payments. The visa office is not just after the money being made available but want to be sure the money is available for the applicants and accompanying family members use. Please do not arouse unnecessary suspicion with your proof of settlement fund,if you have come thus far you won't want to bungle your chance because of borrowed fund or donation. If you can prove beyond reasonable doubt regarding the true source and availability of the donation providing as much evidence as possible, you can present donation. IF YOU CAN, AVOID PRESENTING "DONATION" AS PROOF OF SETTLEMENT FUND. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 10:51am On Feb 21, 2015 |
shopaker: Sadly,I doubt if your application can receive any further positive processing. The application might be on its way back to you. NOC 1111 must have reached its cap long ago. I think you should put in for Express Entry. |

Third draw cut off score 808, no of ITA, 849. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Fatima007: 9:12pm On Feb 21, 2015 |
solomonwis: Thanks Solomonwis. what do you advise about the verification? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 9:41pm On Feb 21, 2015 |
Fatima007: The 20 day requirement is dependent on a number of factors which in most cases is outside the control of WES.Please add another 10 days to the standard 20 days. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by hmnnn: 11:41am On Feb 22, 2015 |
Hey People! The 3rd draw is out and the cut off point was 808 with 849 people given ITA. It however seems it was targeted only at people in CEC(Canadian Experience Class). Let's still hope for the best as i got the statistics that most people who live outside Canada are in the point range of 300 - 400, and those in Canada between 400 - 500. They are planning to bring in about 47,000 through FSWC+FSTC and about 48,000 through PNPs so, they may likely come down to that range if they dont get sufficient people who got job offers with LMIA or PNP invitation. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by hmnnn: 11:47am On Feb 22, 2015 |
shopaker: You don't need write IELTS or get WES ECA again, so long the ones you have are valid(i want to believe you have minimum of 6 in all segments of your IELTS). Just go ahead and open your EE profile, starting with initial assessment using a link called Canada tool on cic website. You will not be penalized for registering for EE even if you have gotten an invite through your previous application for FSW, you may however have to pay twice if both sails through(which we have assumed that your FSW application is some, thing we should forget in the meanwhile) |
