Even Christianity does not ascribe the power of conversion to man. We as Christians are told to plant seeds and God does the conversion not us! So in answer to you only God compels a change of heart!

But what islam does is geographical conversion, where a town is conquered by jihadists and all none adherents are pushed out and that's what we have had in the towns Isis and BokoHaram have conquered!

They were forced to become Muslims through Islamic war conquest but not through conviction. The Imperialism you mentioned is a policy of extending a country's power and influence through colonization especially through the use of military force.

The spread of Christianity was majorly by conviction and that was why our colonial masters ( though Christians)did not force the religion on the Muslims.
What do you think would have happened if we were colonized by a Muslim country?
