No I did not. I think all programs in imperial are without application fee except you are applying to their business school.

When is the list of successful candidates coming out? We are busy applying to schools, spending money hoping for the best. God help us all.

I have not yet applied to any school yet. I feel it shouldnt be too late to apply after the release.

Hey guys, I really don't know what to expect from this Pressid, days going by, and i just cannot fine-tune how true this scholarship would be. Don't know if I should proceed with my admission processing, or keep waiting for the list. Election in place, and no one seem to care about us, days running by, weeks, and now months, and yet, no 1 knows what to expect. Really, am a bit confused over this whole scheme, and don't know if I should keep hoping or look elsewhere. Hope some1 in my shoe can say something about this

ok they are still paying the previous set their monthly stipends, as long as they haven't stopped paying them let's still be hopeful n keep applying b4 d courses get filled up.

Just be patient. Their application review duration differs among departments.

that's quite normal for imperial. . Within 8-10 wks.. mine is UCL and it's since arrnd 1st week of January no reply

8-10weeks?? I submitted my application to imperial on the 4th of january , I got a decision on the 23rd of january thats less than 3 weeks. Guess it differs by department.

Hi scholar, pls am in a dilemma and I need some help making a decision. I just got a fantastic offer to study at Glasgow University. Full tuition and living costs.External sponsorship. I have also applied to Edinburgh for the pressid scholarship. Pls, not considering the pressid, if you were to choose between d two schools, which would you choose?. I realise dat edinburgh ranks higher, but there are many other things to consider. By the way,the offer is for MSc Biotechnology.

The truth of the matter is that with d way things are going in Nigeria, even if I win the pressid, it will likely not continue after May 29th . This is d reality. I know dat most of us don't want to admit it but we are all thinking the same thing.

There's nothing uncertain about pressid.. it was approved by senate in 2012, and it was included in the budget as an annual NUC project.. like we saw on punch some days ago, the 102 candidate list will soon be approved by d presidency.
If there's a change of president it can only stop it from taking place next year.
nigeria might be corrupt but a new president can't just change the outcome of an issue d senate has sat on.

. Mcmaster, I agree with u. It might not stop dis year. But a new govt will definitely not continue sponsoring the current scholars till they complete their phd, if dat is what u re thinking. The way both parties are behaving, the opposition will never continue with a project dat was started by d GEJ govt. In fact, they have been talking about improving our universities instead of sending pple abroad. So as much as I am hoping dat it continues, I also hv to consider the chance that it might not happen. Infact, I applied for about two other scholarship, such as the vlir-uos scholarship at vrije university in belgium.

. Thanks. I get what u mean. But I am expecting the result of another scholarship at vrije university in belgium by d end of april. It might sound crazy, since glasgow is more highly rated, but I hv always preferred studying in a non-english speaking european country more than the UK irespective of ranking. In fact, I am particularly fascinated with belgium and germany.
