hi @justwise or anybody with proper info...please I need clarity. I'm applying for a special visitor visa (short courses), I have my admission, paid the tuition. But the problem is accomodation. I intend staying with a friend who is on a Tier 4 visa, since the school doesn't provide accomodation for short courses. The friend lives in a rented flat and has a roommate. The short course is for 10 weeks. Now the issue here is would it raise any suspicion to the ECO or is it a must I stay with someone that has a proper job? P.S my dad is my sponsor. |

browngirl10: I don't think you can afford to travel now, you probably will be left with nothing after paying ticket let a lone hotel accommodation in the UK |

Mockingjay7: Accommodation will be an issue, 10 weeks is a long time to be accommodated in a shared student flat. |

Usernametaken:What you will need to proove is that you will return home after your visit. The story at the moment with payment by WU. looks like some internet scam. You will need a much better story and ties to home to stand a chance. 2 Likes |

Hello house. Pls i need the briilliant people on the forum to advise me. I did my masters in UK and i came back into the country last march. I entered UK three times with the visa while it lasted. I.e i visited nigeria three times too. I now have a job in Nigeria with a monthly income of about 200k and i have been on the job for about 6 months . My fiancee also works. We will like to go to the UK for our honeymoon after wedding for just a week. I understand that i will need payslips and bank statements but like how much will be okay to be in the account? And will my travel experience help? Thanks |

How much would be available for your trip and what would be the cash balance in your account upon application?[/quote] Thanks for your reply, I'll be having 500 in my account upon application, but i do have another source of income cos I sell shoes and bags and people pay into my account just that it's not a registered and I don't want it to look like money lodgement. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by browngirl10: 9:40pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
Lexusgs430: I'm sorry I didn't read your question properly....pardon me. Amount I intend spending for this trip is 400. I have 200 in my account now and will get 200 for this month salary and the bonus 200 making 600 upon application. But I was informed by HR that my leave allowance won't be paid until after my leave. So is this okay? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by browngirl10: 9:46pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
justwise: Thanks for your reply Justwise ,but I'll be having 600 and I don't want to spend more than 400 , I'm getting only 3 weeks leave and I intend staying for 10 days. How much do you think will be okay for this trip? Nothing extravagant oo. Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by browngirl10: 9:50pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
browngirl10: Lexusgs430, do you think 400 will be okay for this trip? I intend staying for 10 days. Thanks . |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Lexusgs430: 9:50pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
browngirl10: The issue I foresee is convoluted financials. From your explanations it seems after factoring all the expense you would incur for your planned trip, your account would seem bare. And their lays the problem. Not unless some financials amongst your request, I do not understand. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Lexusgs430: 10:01pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
browngirl10: 400k for a 10 day stay seems your salary for 2 months, not factoring your flight ticket(that would add additional 185k to your expense) 400+185 ......... Work it out and factor in all your present expenses, future expenses and this is how your financials post- pre trip are calculated. |

Lexusgs430: Ok thanks will do, I just hope they allow me to travel this time (when I probably get the visa) cos lastly the indicated that my dad should go with me.. But ill be 18 nxt year(april) so they were suggestions that I might be able to go alone |

browngirl10: Your chances are slim, give yourself the next 6 months with your new salary range...spending 400k in 10days on your current bank balance is crazy. |

Lexusgs430: Thanks a lot Lexusgs430, the account would be empty as you stated but my husband is willing to give me 500 but i guess it would be money lodgement, any advice on how to go about it? Thanks again . |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by browngirl10: 9:23am On Feb 25, 2015 |
justwise: Thanks a lot justwise, but my husband wants to give me 500 to support myself, how do I go about it? And how will it not look like money lodgement. Thanks again. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Lexusgs430: 9:23am On Feb 25, 2015 |
browngirl10: What I would personally suggest is, either you set a couple of months target, to get the bank statements up to a decent standard or apply jointly with your husband. |

Lexusgs430: Thanks again Lexusgs430, I think I'll just wait for sometime as you suggested by then I'll have like 1m which is reasonable I guess. Thanks for your time.....its much appreciated . |
