If possible, try and go before 35wks. That loooooong journey to LA might take it's toll on your body. Or look for something with less connections, i know tickets are super expensive cos July is peak season, but please think about your body too.

KayLayChi:
Hi all,

I am travelling to Los Angeles first week in July and the ticket prices are crazy. I was considering Emirates but Etihad is cheaper but I am scared of Etihad because I dont know anyone that has used them.

Please has anyone here used Etihad (when pregnant, I will be travelling at 35weeks plus) and what was the experience. I want to buy my ticket this week and need this info urgently.

permanent site? yes but that is for people like I and some other mamas and papas here but for u, your permanent site is far. You just started the journey and you will be here for sometime especially if you are not looking at having two kids. therefore, Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and carry on with the ministry. Wow, the Lord is good. i can see 2 more sons crawling around you and phema. Halleluyahhhhhh somebody

Hello nairalanders. i have been reading this thread since i decided to have my baby in US. i applied for a US visa in january for vacation in FL and got appt in Feb for interview. anyways by the time i was going for my interview i discovered i was pregnant. i still went for the interview with my initial DS form which i had filled for vacation cos we hadn't decided on what to do. i got a 2 year visa and the VO didnt ask anything about me being pregnant during the interview. Now we have decided we may as well have the baby in US since we can afford it.

through this thread i have decided to have the baby in houston and a friend has given me contact of a Dr. at WHMC.

I also intend to send an email to the Embassy before i travel in August. Really hoping i dont have issues at POE as regards my application and change of intent.

u guys should advise a sis. plus i cant afford to travel for vacation before going to birth. belle don pop already sef. lol

I can't stop laughing. For the second missionary journey I am eyeing one quiet, economically sound and friendly country, anybody in the spirit is free to join me for that waka.

You can also try southwest airlines, they're the only US airline that still allow 2 bags of 23kg each for free, all others charge extra for checked in bags.

Good day all,

Please a friend had interview last wednesday and visa granted, she was told to pick up on Monday, but she has been going since then, her passport is yet to be out. Kindly advise on what to do or where to complain as she has already booked flight for weekend.

Thanks

Traveling at 35 weeks is RISKY! It's not like it's domestic but Int'l for over 8 hours. Mothers biko lets avoid stories that touch! Life and safety over anything oh. Be wise.

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by shelly23: 1:36am On Feb 26, 2015
Check their luggage allowance before buying the ticket. I know someone who flew them some years back to NY and the luggage allowance was 20kg total so he had to pay a lot for excess.

Any good dr you have discussed your concern about cash with will stand with you as per spending less.

Vineb you are very correct, I am using MoBap is st. Louis, and just had my first appointment yesterday. The doctor took his time to go through my medical records with me, and picked out something before I mentioned it, ans is looking into it already.About cash, he was kind enough to talk to his financial person to help me on how I can get discount from the hospital and from the lab. I am not using Dr. F nor talking about doc/patient timing . I am just laying emphasis on the bold lines above

Hello everyone, praise God for all the success stories. Watch out for more!
So I sent a mail to the embassy notifying them of my intent but I got an automated response with questions and answers
Please is that the normal response process before they send the standard reply, cos I am a bit confused.
