Muhammadkhan: Who invited him to speak at Chatham house? Nothing special about speaking there bro. I personally attended the one Atiku gave in 2007 when he was contesting. You will even be ashamed to know that all they do is to rubish their country thinking they are impressing the few white folks that will attend mainly journalists , few researchers and maybe one or two MPs with interest in African affairs. At the end of the day, the negative perception they have about Nigeria is magnified. Ask the APC people to tell you how they secured the slot and how much they paid. 6 Likes |

SirShymexx: U shud be directing your vituperation to APC. GEJ already has a plan called Transformation with detailed steps ( which he is already implementing) on how best to transform Nigeria. That is why he is shouting continuity. On corruption, he has said severally how he is fighting it with modern approach- Use of IPPS. His program on power sector is well know. His plan on the economy viz a vis unemployment is also known by all with his SURE-P et al. Soo ur question shud be what alternative is APC bringing to the table and how do they intend to implement that. I have no idea about their manifesto aside the normal solgan of Naija politicains -- I will do this I will do that without telling us how. 8 Likes 1 Share |

oshyno: Utter nonsense! So, GEJ is still "planning" a transformation after 6 years, no? What was the first 6 years for? - feasibility study, alie? That must be one hell of a feasibility study. GEJ is an utter failure and he has absolutely nothing to offer. If he had any tangible thing to offer - it would be evident by now. Agreed the opposition party isn't much better since majority of them are also part of the old guard. However, it isn't much different from the US-style of democracy that the Nigerian system emulated. Both the Democrats and Republicans are also two sides to the same coin, albeit one is just more hawkish and outlandish in its approach than the other. So, if you want a real opposition party - you need a revolution and a complete overhaul of the current system in Nigeria. And since that isn't attainable now, you have to go with what's there. Anyway, GEJ is a walking failure - and he has to go. He had his chance but he blew it. Time for someone new. And if he fails like GEJ, he should be booted out in 4years' time, that's the beauty of democracy. Also, stop looking for a real opposition when Nigeria has absolutely no structure and institution for it to thrive - the electorates aren't literate enough for it. Just keep the electioneering sane and issue based. The smear campaign is just too redundant and primitive. A disgrace to the black race and folks of African origin. And if at all you want to continue with ya primordial way of doing things - keep it in that country. Stop embarrassing us in the UK, it's sickening. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Muhammadkhan: I did not attend as a journalist. The place usually flooded by Nigerians residing in the UK mostly with no restrictions just go in and have your seat. I said the few white folks that care to attend are mainly researchers, journalists and MPs (members of parliament) with interest in African affairs. Atiku came with Terry Waya, Audu Ogbe and few others that I dont recall while El Ruffai, Nuhu Ribadu and few others also came from the government side to counter what he said using the opportunity given during the question and answer session. 2 Likes |

SirShymexx: Maybe u have comprehension issue. Where did u see planning. He is already implementing young man. Your candidate GMB has never told us his plans for power. GEJ unbundled PHCN and privatized it. Lots of generations going on save for gas shortage. Is ur man going to continue with GEJ approach to power or is he going to revoke the whole exercise. Why is he silent on one thing that will change the face of industrialization in Nigeria. Nigerians provided him with a platform( Presidential debate) to come and woow them on his plans for Nigeria. What did he do. U cant be shouting change when u cant tell me where ur changing to. One of ur principal -Osibanjo said they willl reduce the tarrif which FG put to boost local auto industry. Soo invariably hez saying the mechanism put in place by GEJ in auto industry is faulty. 2 Likes |
