tayoamos: If u have a valid visit visa like u said, then u dont have a priblem. All you to do is to secure an admission, get into the US with your visit visa one month before your school's resumption date, go to your school and let them know you are on a visit visa and they will help you change it to an F1 visa 1 Like |

mbeenox: The fees is per semester. You could take nothing less than 9hrs for full time student. Ur fee as an international student is non residential. How many credit hours is required for graduation? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by Nobody: 4:54pm On Feb 25, 2015 |
nedum360:The best he do is either take 12 or 15 credits. It will be a lot cheaper that way. Graduation credit hours shouldn't be lower than than 30 or 36 depending on the course |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by mandybaby2007: 5:06pm On Feb 25, 2015 |
mbeenox:This school is expensive, 9credit is $13k, this simply means u wil pay $13k per semester for 9credits. So every semester u take upto 3courses u have 2be ready 2produce $13k, its always better 2calculate ur fees per semester dan trying 2calculate for d whole program cos u my run mad wen u c how much u r expected 2pay for d entire program, taking it one semester at a time reduces ur blood pressure cos ur situations changes every semester. GA, internship, GC, ur pple in Naija just hammer etc |

nedum360:[quote author=nedum360 post=31073745] The minimum requirements for the thesis option are 24 semester credit hours coursework, six additional hours of thesis research credit, and successful defense of a research thesis. The non-thesis option requires a minimum of 36 semester hours of course work including a three-credit hour project course. |

mandybaby2007:What advice do I need to give to him other than the ones I mentioned? If he cannot sit tight and find better school or write GRE and look for assistantship or scholarship or in state tuition. Then that's the best advice so far, so he can read and study his life out. |

mbeenox:You have this profile and you want to punish yourself? Why not try gradschool.com and narrow your search to petroleum engineering? Speak to the graduate cordinator or international student advisor regarding funding or any available assitanship. Don't come and punish yourself here unnecessarily except you have other agendas known to you. With your profile you should be a able to get a GA |

mbeenox:Atleast first year of studies is ok. You can pay installments here, either by semester or monthly depending on the school. In my school, you can sign up for the promise to pay and it cost 50usd, which gives you the opportunity to pay in installments even if its 100usd you have. |

deyanju: @Deyanju...i am triple sure. Its not a big deal to change ur status. The first time i helped a friend with the procedure was 10 years ago. Today he is a US citizen. 2 years ago i helped my aunt with same procedure. But my aunt had to come return to Naija due to the expenses of paying for her fees and that of her children who would have to continue their primary and secondary school in the US cos i made sure her 4 children and husband were included in her form I-20. |
