I need schools that do not require any test score for admission. Pls help if you can.

Why do so many insist on looking for school with "no tests"?
These sort of schools or colleges are either offering a dombed down education and are not liked by immigration and visa officers.
Or they require extra catch up classes which cost more than taking tests in the first place.

Are these posters too idle to take a test? how will they spend time on study if they do get a school place?

Surprised you cannot find universities with masters in finance.

Found below within 3 minutes:
https://business.illinois.edu/msf/
http://www.bc.edu/schools/csom/graduate/msf.html

This link has a list of universities who offer Msc finance:
http://www.bus.lsu.edu/academics/finance/faculty/dchance/MiscProf/MSPrograms.htm

Regarding tuition of 10k-15k, you need to check each of their websites or reach out to confirm the costs but most will be more than that for international students. btw is th 10k-15k per term or year budget?

obiaguna:
Friends please I need your help and contribution. I have actively been searching for schools in Yankee to undergo my msc program but the search has been frustrating.
Most of the schools I checked I got little or nothing pertaining to fees and graduate programs. I could hardly see a school that offered a masters degree in finance or financial management as I intend pursuing a PhD after (not certainly but just maybe) and a lot of those schools were only offering MBA's.
I am not interested in an MBA at this stage as I hardly have enough office experience.
Please for the guys that are there already, can you list some schools that have very affordable tuition (say 10-15k dolls) and schools that have actual Msc business courses.
Please I am really tired cos most of the schools websites are not very straight forward like the UK schools. Thanks y'all.

I totally feel you here. Aiming for schools tht take people with no tests will usually be lower ranked programs with not too good reputation. For international students hoping to work in the US after graduation, you are better off trying to get into programs with strong reputation and recruitment, and unfortunately these schools have high entry requirements in order to maintain the standards that attract employers.

I see the same thing here in the UK where people look for cheap and easy to get into universities, and then afterwards struggle to get jobs with employers who can sponsor them for work permit. It's a simple case of supply and demand.

a rule of thumb i tell people is if the university has a larger international student population than local students, then it is no no. You should aim for the universities where the country train their best and not mushroom colleges and universities which are cheap and have very easy entry requirements.

Employers know the schools which are strong and those which are not.

It does seem that many Nigerians have a mentality "must go to university"
To fullfill this they will go to any school in any country without working out if at the end they can get a job that will pay back the fees.

Hey house i have a couple of questions

Just got admitted to a Masters of Fine Arts programme, the school didn't require GRE or TOEFL, will i need to take the tests for visa purposes?

Secondly, i got offered a fellowship i.e. full tuition waiver plus stipend will i still need to show any proof of funds?

Please answer. Thanks

Brother, it's like you don't want them to go abroad anymore?

Wait till they read your post. They'll definitely ask why you travelled out for studies.

Firstly, yes. You need to take standardized tests. Secondly, how did you get funding without these tests? Did you have first class at undergraduate level?

The first and second statements are somewhat contradictory even if true.
Convincing a VO that you got a fellowship without writing standardized test would be difficult to pull off.
I don't even believe it myself. sorry.
Anybody can come to nairaland and type what he /she wants.

Full funding+ stipend without writing standardized tests. LOL grin (RED FLAG 1)
For a Masters and not PhD....lol. (RED FLAG 2)
Fellowship for masters...Possible but very rare. GA/RA/TA common for MS Students. (RED FLAG 3)
NO PORTFOLIO SUBMITTED....Since you're a fine art student (RED FLAG 4)

Haha. He didn't know that there are so many educated people here.

Imagine someone telling me that he met a white man at the embassy who gave him 214b paper but was not interviewed cheesy

And someone who had a ring claiming his married but cannot remember when he got married.

Some emails are meant to be ignored.

First of all, where did you get the idea that i didn't submit a portfolio?

Of course i did.

Secondly, an MFA in most cases is a terminal degree i.e. equivalent to a PHD, that is why it is different from an MA. Most schools offer fully funded MFA, google is your friend. check it out.
Three, my programme is the 2nd best for Arts in the US so the VO won't need my convincing.

I also happen to have finished top of my undergrad class here in Nigeria so of course that helps.

I don't know why you are taking it so personal when you clearly know NOTHING about MFA programs.

Everyone else, please i need information. My programme is two years but i was offered a fellowship for one year, my offer letter states i will get at least an equivalent amount in the second year but i will have to reapply.

My school requires TOEFL only, GRE isn't required at all for admission, its an arts programme after all but it(TOEFL) was waived for me. Will i still need to write it for visa purposes?
Will i also need proof of funds? How much?

Really, some people here need to calm down. I specified MFA because i know most people aren't familiar with what they entail. Instead of researching they come and start insulting people who they haven't met. Anyway, bad belle is allowed. Its not my fault I'm blessed.

Please don't quote more if you're not real.

I need to verify your claims before i give you some useful feedbacks here.

Email me and tell me the name of your school but if you can't, then it means you have some interior motives or a hidden agenda so to speak.
