Pls gurus I need help with this situation: A car of costing 1,750,000 is to b used for 3yrs after which its to b sold off at quarter d price(437,500).if it was used for 4yrs and 3mnths, hw much shud it b sold?? |

Find the differential equation corresponding to; y=Ae^3x+Be^x.............(1) Solution: since there are two unknown constants (A & B), we need two differential equations. y'=3Ae^3x+Be^x..............(2.) y"=9Ae^3x+Be^x................(3.) if, from eqn(1), we substitute for Be^x in (2) and (3) we get; y'=2Ae^3x+y...................(4) y"=8Ae^3x+y...................(5) now, y"-4*eqn(4) gives y"-4y'+3y=0 |

Ok...help needed here. .. The 3rd,6th and 7th term of a G.P whose common ratio is neither 0 nor 1 are in A.P. Prove that the sum of the first three is equal to the 4th term. |

Hello Maths gurus I show I showed no interest in maths in my secondary school and I'm now regretting in my pre degree studies. We started with indices I managed to learn and solve for rules but I didn't understand the remaining two rules; 1. a^-1 = 1÷a. a^m = 1÷a^m 2. a^1/2 = √a a^m = 1÷a^m a^n÷m = (a^1÷m)^n = (m√a)^n. ^ means power of Help and break through it for me with examples. and is there any difference between ÷ and / in mathematics? Pls help me if it's there Physics threat on Nairaland. |
