Khiaa, To be frank as a typical continent African it is a daunting task to live with a foreign woman because there would be a clash of culture and it takes a lot of wisdom and patience to understand each other and of course we know what happens when anyone of the parties run out of patient , then separation is a sure scenario which nobody loves experiencing.

My disagreement with the self hating op is that he's trying to make comparisons to what some of our men whine here over women which are usual baseless stereotypes for men to classify women.But he didn't mention the bag and baggage that these foreign women come with.

The op is not far from the truth you know. I'm currently engaged to a foreign lady. She's Brazilian. I've never felt love and seen someone who lives me for me the way I see it now. She's an epitome of beauty and an embodiment of perfection. What makes it interesting is that she's very humble. I think Nigerian ladies should start working on themselves cos the rate with which they are going is not cool. 95% of what the op said is true. Nigerian ladies should learn to be hardworking, independent, real and stop being parasites that depend on others for survival. That's my 1000 cowrie advice to them.

I never said so, all I'm saying is that the time it takes for two people from two different cultures to understand each other wouldn't be the same when you're dealing with someone from the same culture.

I can give you an example: I got the culture shock of my life when I told my foreign girl friend to give me a glass of water while Sitting on the couch and she responded by telling me that she's not my slave and this is something that a typical Nigerian girl would have done for me with no hard feelings if she truly loves you .Though I paid her back when she asked me to give her some money for shopping, I simply told her that I'm not her ATM we went back and forth always quarreling and separating every now and then and making up again until it dawned on me that this is a different girl from a different culture and I have to drop my mentality and ego else I'll always appear as a caveman to her .And all the things I wouldn't do for a Nigerian girl I started doing them and I learnt a lot though it wasn't easy for her too because she was bent on changing my orientation while I was bent on remaining an African a black man

Op's thread didn't do justice to the black woman especially the Nigerian women.
Simply put , you foreigners also have your bag and baggage and it could be more difficult compared to someone that knew my mindset and orientation right from birth
