Opposition Leaders Behind Fuel Scarcity, Says mu’azu by Ayomidric(m): 4:06pm On Mar 02, 2015
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Mu’aazu, on Monday alleged that the current fuel scarcity in the country was sponsored by some opposition leaders.

Mu’azu, in a series of tweets on his official Twitter page, alleged that the opposition leaders and some vested interests were behind the hoarding of fuel which, according to him, was responsible for fuel scarcity in the country.

He, however, did not mention the names of the opposition leaders.

The PDP chairman said the fuel scarcity was engineered to undermine the profile of President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the elections.

He said all plans to tarnish the image of Jonathan would not work.

He said in the tweets, “Concerned Nigerians have drawn our attention to the fact that some opposition leaders and vested interest are behind hoarding of fuel.

“Concerned Nigerians also draw our attention to plans by those who control the South-West disco to sabotage electricity in the zone.

“We assure Nigerians, they will fail. All their plans to tarnish the image of government will fail like all other previous attempts. We want to assure concerned Nigerians, especially all of you here on social media, that we will reverse this trend soonest.”

Nigeria needs Refineries. Apart from that, when people are not punished for the crimes they commit, then its a problem since the average human being wants to disobey the law when given oportunity. Opposition should not be mentioned at every instance, it gives us a sense of a weak government. Stop picturing the president in a bad light, sometimes he can do much better without the people around him who keep making things much messier for him. Look at the gains he has made in the last couple of weeks in the south west, he made it without his party members, sometimes i wonder if the PDP members around GEJ are the real opposition he has.

The president also needs to swing to action and make some statement, Nigerians are getting impatient by the day.

This is absurd,

Why will PDP blame the opposition for their ineffectiveness,
Always shifting blame to the other person like its the opposition that is in government.

Why can't they for once accept their ineffectiveness and promise to correct it than shifting blame to where there is not

We can't progress like this if we don't take responsibility of our actions and keep looking for the other person to blame for our woes

If opposition caused fuel scarcity, election postponement, impending police strike, then we do not need a seer to tell us that this clueless government is not in control of the administration of this country, and what is the best time to clear this government off our radar so that we can have competent government that can take control of our country.?
The time to send this government back to Otuoke and bring in a competent one

Now just look at this. How can one expect me, with all the sanity in me, to support a party like PDP?? These guys ought to be rubbing shoulders with NURTW personnel and not an opposition party like APC. The gap in their mode of thinking can never be bridged.

What a shame.

Utterly pathetic I tell you. I just can't believe these are the men running things in this country.

Jonathan has seen to the exit of the best brains in the party, no thanks to a rejuvenated opposition, and now the party has been reduced to nothing more than an association of noisy market men and women. Everything the party does and says these days embodies the persona of Jonathan.

Stop this attitude of always vilifying govt functionaries for pointing out the underhand activities of the Nigerian opposition. As a private citizen, I can confirm to you (God bear witness) how there was constant power outage by PHCN in my area anytime PDP or GEJ was about to hold a televised campaign but the opposite occured anytime APC was campaigning. This is not a fabrication but verifiable truth. The fact that APC has been using NLC, PHCN and other bodies to sabotage and undermine the efforts of GEJ's administration is a common knowledge. Muazu was absolutely right.
