Hello gurus in the house I seriously need your help, I just lost an admission to the university of Regina. I took a fumble as I felt I could just apply without getting a supervisor, as the issue of waiting was killing me. Here's the deal, I have an uncle who is ready to help me with accommodation, feeding and oda stuffs lik that, and he stays in Regina with his family - I actually feel that would reduce my expenses to some degree.
At this point I really don't know what to do, as I don't want to apply to a school far from that province. Am a chemistry graduate with a second class upper (3.77/5) overall and (4.28) cgpa in my final two years of study. Please what do you suggest I do now. Sincerely, I really really really need your advices.
Wat program did u apply for?MSC programs are those that require u to have supervisors and they are highly competitive(because they are funded)...bt course only based programs like MEng are easily to get. As long as ur result is cool...So look again if u will like to go the course based route..or better still apply to schools close enuf to reginia..Goodluck!

Hello guys.

I finally got my TRV last week. Thanks for all the info here. For the update:

School- Uni of Dalhousie
Graduate study with research
Visa application- online
Applied- January 12
Biometric- January 14
Medical call- Feb 2
Medicals done- Feb5
Passport req- Feb 17
Issued- Feb 20
Collected- Feb27

However, I still need a little more help from guys. I discovered there are no direct flights to Halifax in Nova Scotia. Has anyone booked a flight to that route before and how was it done please? Are there websites that could also be of help in this regard please.

I also need some help to go about getting an off campus accommodation or a temporary housing for a week or thereabout.

Your prompt response will be of great help.

Thanks guys

congrats
i know most people fly to toronto, and then book a connecting flight to their final destination. You can use wakanow/travelStart to get flights to toronto. Wakanow Ive never used, but travelstart are great. you can also book directly on the airline's website. Then use Kayak to search for a connecting flight.

most people use Kijiji for student accommodation, but i'll advice you to search for budget hotels close to your uni book for a week, And Use that time to search for a place.

Not a pro, but that's what i'd do.

I'm going for Electrical Engineering. Not so easy getting a supervisor man. God just had mercy on me.

I graduated with a 2.1 in the same course. You may send me a PM if you require further assistant that i can provide.

Cheers.

I dont think you should do that. Y dont u ve faith without taking dat risk. It has been mentioned severally dat paying for all dat doesnt guarantee ur TRV. Make sure ur docu are complete.

Cheers..

People, pls i need your views on this...does it suffice to use only a survey plan to demonstrate land/property ownership...my concern is that even lands that do not have proper titles yet have survey plans too...just wondering how the VO will approach it
