Palmwine is made from a palmtree be it an up or a dug and cut down palmtree.
My Pastor said is a sin and I somehow concurr with Him because it intoxicates irrespective of the fact that it has yeast for the eye and other health benefit as known in your area.
What your view about this?

its a sin to take palm whine...

its a sin to drink...

wch one is not a sin when people condemn every thing that makes life sweet..

I beg pack well... ask your pastor if he has never take palm whine or drink before... or ask him if he never consume alcohol before...... note if u'v eating cake before u ought to have consume alcohol cause alcohol is use for cake preservation..... either small or large quantity alcohol is alcohol. shikena......

You guyz are funny, actually is an alcohol.
Jesus turned water into wine which was sweeter than the one they drank before but the Bible did not say it is an alcohol nor palmwine.
The Bible I think, Does not have a record of where Jesus took an alcohol nor palmwine.

your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so drinking an alcohol(palm wine) to contaminate it is a sin against the Holy Spirit...

Jesus drank alcohol to the point that people started calling him a drunk:

Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a drunk, a friend of publicans and sinners!

Mind you, its only when someone takes alcohol that he is called a drunk; so, yes, Jesus took alcohol for people to call him a drunk and a winebibber.

Jesus also turned water to alcohol! Yes, the wine was alcohol. This is what the mc of the occasion had to say thereafter:

John 2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

Check out the words in bold: its only alcohol that makes one drunk. This shows that the wine Jesus turned water into was alcohol.

Do you need more verses from the bible?

Unfortunately, you didn't write the bible: and yes, it supports alcohol consumption; although it condemns being drunk, which is a state of having excessive alcohol in the system.

Deuteronomy 14:26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

Check the words in bold: strong drink refers to the stronger alcohols like spirits, vodka, shekpe, kai-kai etc. Its right there in your bible, but you chose to believe what your self-righteous pastor tells you.

Did you read what I posted at all or you're having comprehension problem?

The verse I quoted encouraged us to drink both wine (alcohol, palmwine, beer etc) and also to drink strong drinks (vodka, champaign, spirit, whisky etc); whatever we desire, we should use our money to buy, eat and drink!

Alcohol is not a sin, its is supported in the bible like I quoted. You can study all parts of Deutronomy 22 if you feel I misquoted it; its very clear.

How dare you insinuate one of God's creation to be sin. How dare you?

Sugar is good. It gives energy and other health benefits. Abuse it and you will be staring diabetes in the face.

Fire is used in heating. Abuse it and it will burn and take life.

Water supports life and it's the universal solvent too but it can drown someone without warning if abused.

Alcohol suppresses/calms the nerves. Abuse it and your liver/kidney will cry. Intoxication is lying-in-wait too.

Etc etc

In fact it's a sin to call alcohol sin. All God's creation are good.

The bible lets us know that we are the temple of the HolySpirit. So we can check the shadow of this statement in the old testament. Nadab and Abihu died after offering strange fire (Fire let out after drinking alcoholic wine moderately because they were alright when they came close)
Leveticus 10:1-10 says this story. After this, a decree was giving that this specific intoxicating drink is not wanted among those coming close to God. That God has shown that He does not change. This is the verse.

Leviticus 10:9-10:
9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

Stating clearly that such practice are among the unholy attributes that can be found on earth, that is why death is procured.
