I have been faced with the temptations to do so many times - use false IP, Paypal back corner etc. But i made a choice. I will work as a Nigerian and do my best, my work will speak for me. Is it easy? No. Did I make money? Yes. Do people love my work? Yes. The road may be difficult and bumpy, but learn to have standards and Integrity. Integrity will take you far in business, because God will back you up. Falsehood can lead you into problems, even though you will make money.

Someone like you, Ladywriter, you have dozens of positive reviews on Freelancer and these are from different guys all over the world. It wouldn't be difficult for people to have confidence in you and assign jobs to you.

A newbie coming on Freelancer for the first time would have problem getting the jobs you could get easily.

Do you know that till now, my freelancer account that has my name on it, is a mess; no one hires me with that account until i created a US account with another name.

So really, it is what it is.

I believe God will make way for me, no matter how difficult it is, if I remain steadfast, hardworking and honest. God has not failed me yet!. What will it profit a man to gain the WHOLE WORLD and LOOSE HIS SOUL. If you trust God for work and you remain honest and hardworking, He will make a way where there is no way. Maybe its just me but i am yet to see anything 'sinful' or morally wrong with creating a proxy account.

Writers have pen names all the time even the very successful ones.

J.K Rowling is one of the most successful authors in the world. Well, J.K Rowlings doesn't exist; its a pen name.

Not everyone is comfortable putting their real names and identity out there.

I remember i was chatting with a freelance writer who is also on this thread and i was telling him about building a reputation for himself online but you know what he told me, he said he didn't want to be known as a freelance writer and thats not what he wants to be known for and was just using it to gather funds to build his real dream.

So everyone has reasons for what they do and life is not just white and black, there are different shades too.

In business, we have what we call tactics and it would be sanctimonius to assume another person's tactics is sinful or morally wrong because its not what we would use.

All those profile pics you see on Fiverr, how many of them use their real pics? Isn't that sinful or decietful too? At the end of the day, nobody is completely pure. As long as i don't dupe or scam anybody, i'm totally cool with it.

I was asked to share my method of making $100 per day on Fiverr and that's it.

People, you don't have to go with my methods, do what works for you and what you feel is right.

If you check my blog, you would see that tbere was nowhere in that post i mentioned proxy accounts or changing IP addresses. I only mentioned that in response to what Eripecs posted about her being frustrated on Fiverr because of her Nigerian IP and i thought it could help other people avoid this problem.

I invested in books and videos before i was able to earn a cent on Fiverr and i don't blame all these marketers who charge people an arm and a leg and get rich off training people how to make money online.

its probably because of attacks like this when you try to put free information online.

I am not the immoral or unchristain person you are trying to paint there and i started from rock bottom to get to where i am today. ONLY THE HANDS OF GOD could have helped me do that so i believe i am certainly doing something right.

Oh no! I never thought THIS will get to you like this. This is in no way casting aspersions on you, or putting your character in bad light.

There are lots of things that are not sin but still doesn't feel right to do. As we are all different, so will such things differ from person to person. Rejecting your methods doesn't mean we are rejecting your person.

We all may be heading towards one destination, but believe me , our routes and journies are not the same. Some of us may want to wait, some others may think differently. We all have histories of what works for us and what doesn't. Our reaction may be tinged with sentimental and personal flavours, but that's only because we are meant to learn from past mistakes (speaking for myself on this one), and not a holier than thou attitude - for WE have all sinned and come short of His Glory.

We all scream when the international community do not see us as people with integrity. How do we solve it? By assuming other people's identity? I don't think so. We can stick it out knowing that one day we shall get there. Yes I know our motivations are not the same. Different things drive us - daily bread, monthly bread, or even yearly bread. Some can wait, some can't. At the end of the day it probably comes down to what makes us feel fulfilled. Ladywriter and I took it from the spiritual angle for obvious reasons.
