35k per month is better than borrowing stealing scaming and pimping. After all a bird at hand is worth 2in the bush. Start with that one first while you keep job hunting till you find a job that befits you. No millionaire became a millionaire overnight. They too started with paltry sums excluding awon Omo baba olowo who their father has already given them a stepping stone to climb on and have paved the way for them 2 Likes |

Empero1: My guy, its not sense of entitlement, its common sense.... . Do you know 35k is less than 250 dollars 250 dollars a month after 4 years in school? That kind of job is only acceptable if there is room for growth but like I said, there is no room for growth in any company that pays less than 80k to fresh graduate. What is the point of going to school if not to land a great job and improve your general prospects?? I call jobs like that a "dream killer". Once you accept that kind of employment, you will reduce your expectation I life and begin chasing peanuts. 1 Like |

Take it, if that is what you are worth. But I don't think any sound graduate with adequate skills should earn less than 200k. As an undergrates few years back I earned 50k. |

No matter how pressed for cash you are, PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT THAT JOB. Instead, use that time you would waste on such job to prepare yourself for masters. Go further. You know you are better than that job. Its not like you would gain valuable experience from it. |

It depends on where you are in life and where you are going and what you need along the way. I just rejected a job of More than N350k per month but I started with N5k long time ago. If the small job add value take it if not find the one with value. |

icebeatz: Common sense is not common to people like you . I still insist that people are not paid for what they know , rather they are paid for what they do with that they know . Acquiring formal education is one thing , while having applicative education is another thing . More so , if desirable is not available , available becomes desirable . In a nutshell I am not justifying companies who has better revenue to pay peanuts as salary to their productive employees , no , rather I am being logical in my contribution on this subject under discussion here . Before you castigate a company on the salary they offer to an employee , try to first know the size and revenue of such company . If the OP for instance in not comfortable with what the company has offered to him , then let him try idleness . To earn big/fat salary , prepare yourself and focus your job hunting toward the big companies . Life is all about give and take . 2 Likes 1 Share |

Considering present state of our economy, I think it is reasonable. Donyou know that some graduates receive far less than N35k in this country. |

Empero1: Then the company should stick to their level. Must they hire a graduate Cant they hire a semi literate as long as the person can do the job. Unless graduate means ond, any hnd or bsc hold going for a 35k job is a junkie and a disgrace. I don talk my own..... 35k is mediocre and I am not a mediocre..... u might be a mediocre and probably chopping 35-40k a month after all your big grammar, but thats not me. Best of luck home boy. Id rather use the time to get an msc and smoke weed than earn 35k... god forbid. 3 Likes |

icebeatz: The word " graduate " is overrated . Result oriented companies does not confer any special privilege on people for mere holding a paper certificate in the name of been a graduate . Been a graduate is only an added advantage when the holder has something special to offer . Before you crucify me or term me " anti graduate " , take note that I have seen and had it all . So , I am conversing based on my experience as an active employer of labor for more than a decade with chains of successful companies under my belt . 3 Likes |

Bro if the job is in the field you wish to build a career then take the job but if not then there is no need. I turned down a 55k job not because of the salary but because it had nothing to do with the career I wanted to build. You can work for free if you stand to garner valuable experience. |

Ma broda, if its not the kind that ll take all ur time, consider it. U can always get smtin better. I started with N17,950 in 2007 but today l make N150,000 to N250,000 a month wrking for ma self. Ma broda started with N17,300 in 2003 and now he earns over N300,000 wrking for an NGO. So don't despice ur humble beginning. |

Please take it.it's not the ideal pay a graduate should earn but it's something. The experience you would get from there would help you apply for a better paying job in future.it's better to have sure 35k at the end of the month than to be dependent on your folks or borrowing money about. |
