So funny,windows has been around for 40yrs.in 2013,analyst claim we re in post pc(windows) era,only to see a reversal in 3rd quater to 2014.the world is returinig to pc,android fones sale falls,ipads and android tablets sales have fallen in sales while microsoft tablet,surface pro 3 is reducing ipad sales.apple is about to launch ipad plus( a mac os tablets) to counter surface pro 3.microsoft is being forced to release a surface phone( with full desktop os)......windows 10 (unified windows os) is coming......what does those comments above means?the world is returning to windows and waiting for windows 10.......windows(full desktop) and mac os re here to stay

This is a good analysis. More grease to your elbow. I suppose the advent of Cloud computing will drastically change the way we use Technologies in years to come.

I think boths ios and android has muscled out everyone. Windows phone 10 has to be truly magical for it to get any kind of traction. Although android is. Getting stale fast. because of google internet driving philosophy. Otherwise most ppl have chosen their religion. Mine is ios although still rock a bold 5 due to cheap internet data.

I believe windows,andriod and ios is here to stay,the only problem i have with windows is limited app,like we have on play store,you hardly see people using windows playing HD games like andriod users...

If windows can do this,i believe they will gain ground in the Nigerian market well,cos most andriod users buy the phone cos of apps and games..

What happened to symbian was that it was limited to few devices which makes other device companies like htc, Samsung etc worked with Windows os but as you know windows mobile os is not that popular then and automatically it nearly send the likes of htc Samsung to extension until the era of Android.
Seeing the potentials of Android people gradually dumped symbian os that's the revival of the companies like Samsung htc lg etc.

So in my opinion seeing the rate of devices running Android os i doubt if android will ever will ever go to extinction.

It can only get better remember they started from 1.0 now 5...

Android,ios,rim and windows fone 8 re all ARM-based(RISC) while mac os,linux and windows re intel-x86 based(CISC).what does dis mean?it means dat RISC based os are simple and consume less power but cannot perform heavy task,while CISC can perform complex task like ur laptops and desktop.dats major reason y ur smartphones can neva match computers' performance....how does dis relate to d topic?......there have been fall in sales of smartfones and tablet in europe and america.dis is due to d fact dat phones and tablets re consumer and non-productive products;they cant meet most whites daily requirements.dis have made westerners return to their computers.as a result,microsoft quicly invented surface pro 3(the best and most powerful tablets in d world),which is a CISC based.surface pro 3 re actually called 'laplet' (tablet with laptop specs).this new products have been a headache for ipads,many americans re dumping ipads for surface pro 3.many whites are backing microsoft to launch 'surface phone' that can perform like computer instead of weak smartphone.these success have made samsung settle it rift with samsung and other android oem,hoping to launch CISC based windows phones when windows 10 is launched.... To takle this uprising apple is about to launch 'ipad pro' with mac os instead of ios while google quickly lauched a CISC base os called 'chrome os' that is inbuilt into laptops called 'chromebook' .unfortunately,microsoft controls 95% of CISC based os,while linus and mac os takes the remaining.......i can conclusively tell u dat d future os belongs to windows and mac os.

Re u aware dat major tv manufacturers re ditching android for their own os......LG no longer use android on their tv,they now use WEB os while samsung have started using TIzen os on their tv...sony is about to stop electronics production and concentrate on playstation and movies....most oem are ditching android os for their own os for 'internet of things(iot)'.....android is dying,bro

Re u aware dat open source is killing android?,google's attitute towards its oem is causing rift and hatred of google by oem?......cyanogen mod wants to pull away from android,samsung is about to jump to windows to reduce dependence on android.open-sourcing android is d major problem of android.it makes their fones bloated causing increase in specs to compensate dis,unlike iphones dat uses low spec?.....openess of android makes europeans and americans avoid chineses fones(contains spyware).

Windows 10 is giving google and apple headache.its a unified operating system,meaning phone,computer,xbox console,tv and co ll have thesame os.which have neva happened b4.unlike apple ios and mac os are not unified.......google is quite scare cos,microsoft control 95% of computers and once it takes d space of fones,notting ever bring it down and it ll be a 2-horse race( apple and microsoft)
