yeah .on that cypher, most of em' said they didn't really get my name dropping. The vets and well read got it thing. we are doing a small one in two weeks time during the holiday. Just krone,limerrick and rebel. i would send you a link when its done.

so lemme JUST say-- Anyone can draW, BUT it would be easier if you are gifted. But even if you are not a naturally artist- you could still be top-notch through constant practice and knowing the right steps.

you are not sounding strange at all.

if you were to draw a human being(model)

1. First of all, make a miniature drawing at the top right corner of your cartridge paper or sketch . it helps..Any error made on that small drawing can be corrected in the main drawing.

2. make a scrupulous and thorough study first.. study the forms,shapes e.t.c.. you can study for 1 hour and draw in 30 mins

2. get the right proportions of the model- the arm length.the head length etc.One part of the body mustn't be bigger than the other. you can google search- how to get the head length in life drawing or how to get the right proportions

3. you should indicate where you want your drawing to begin and where you want it to end before even drawing to avoid drawing a very small thing or to avoid drawing a very big thing to the extent that you'd run out of paper. you can indicate with two dashes.. one at the top and one at the bottom.. only vetrans don't need to do this.

4. make use of guiding lines or work lines ..guiding lines are light strokes of the pencil. You should use them first and after getting the right proportion, you can now make the drawing bolder by increasing the pressure you applying on the pencil. i usually use HB pencil for for my work lines though its wrong, but i advise you to use HB too to avoid a rough work. you can also correct your erros easily if the strokes were light.

5. You should use Shapes too.. after getting the head length.. just represent it with a big box... if the model or object is positioned in a triangular manner, then draw a big triangle first.. after that you can begin to fit in the forms. Shapes help a lot. they make your drawings faster..

you could invite me over to your crib for some private lessons..

i promise it would be all about art
