zicoraads: That's the truth, some corps member said they won't partake in the electoral process if the election was to go the way it was planned. Everything was still sketchy. We should understand that, these process should've been used first for a local government election first before making it nationwide. 2 Likes 1 Share |

kastonkastrol:Go and Fire Him na! You are type who would be eager to compromise your integrity for fear of losing your job or the confidence of your boss...I don't need to be told that you r d 'high service type'. The guy said he complained about pending uncertainty during his training but they never paid attention to him and you are saying he is wrong by letting YOU and I know the attitude of the management of INEC as regards this election? C'mon mehn, show some appreciation and be reasonable. I remember whilst I was serving in a remote community in KATSINA in 2011, we were the set of corp members that INEC employed as ADHOC staffs to handle registration of eligible voters and during the training, we were cautioned NOT to register anyone below 18yrs and some guys amongst us asked the officials that how would one be sure or be able to say for certain that someone is below 18yrs owing to the fact that most women in the north become mothers before they clock 18yrs....Their response was if we were sure they appeared less than 18 we should deny them being registered. At my unit, I had no security, just my assistant who understands and speaks hausa and to make matter worse, none of the people in this community is a literate. And there came this tall, fierce looking man who called a CPC Agent, that he was there to witness and observe the registration process...to cut the story short, this same guy mobilised under aged children for me to register. I told him in a calm tone that am obliged only to register people above 18. The man got furious left us and I think headed home, only to come back after a few minutes with a cutlass and started filing his matchette on a piece of stone close to where we were. I was damn scared for my ma life, cos I know had it been anything happened to me, I'd be gone and nobody, I mean NOBODY, not even the president will give a F*CK that I died trying to do the RIGHT thing! And so I told ma assistant to tell him in hausa to go bring back those kids, that I was now ready to get them registered....This was just registration ooooo! Talk more of voting. If you want to show how patroitic you can be, go to Kano or Bauchi or Borno and represent INEC there with these unrealiable card readers and let's see if you would make it back with your life. U dey carry Naija matta 4 ur head, when dem leaders no send ur ass. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

gsalvatore: That's exactly my problem with this APC governed states they always want to cover up what they shouldn't and politicise what shouldn't be politicised one would expect that as a very vocal opposition they would expose the flaws ASAP instead of telling everyone that it was 100% okay when the faults are still inherent we need free and fair elections not ano election that's filled with hitches and malpractices... |

PDP propaganda. They are just trying to stop the use of card readers to make rigging easy. These card readers don't fail that easily. Battery? yes if it's not charged, but I refuse to believe the brand new card readers malfunctioned 30% of the time. I predicted this before the mock elections 2 Likes |

kastonkastrol: He's a hadoc staff of INEC, I went through the same training. hadoc staff are serving corp members, former corp members or or employees of federal MDA's. having said that, the problems being encountered with the card readers are majorly human error. the data of voters in each polling unit across the federation is supposed to have been uploaded to the card readers assigned to that polling unit prior to deployment to the field. imagine what happens if wrong data is uploaded or the machines are not properly labeled or a wrong machine is sent to a polling unit. INEC can overcome these by putting there acts together. All is well. 1 Like |

Am so sorry for nairalanders they can be so gulible so tweets of pple paid by pdp and bloggers now the source of news that is not even veirified I followed up the exercise on channels, tvc even onlone on punch and vanguard The exercise was adjudged successful it even detected cloned cards in some state The few problem was in some isolated cases where the card couldnt identify the thumbprint ofsome peopel due to blurred fingers, if u can remember when registering some pple prints are so difficult for the machine to register due to either sweaty palms or other factors and injuries such as farmers, welders |

[quote author=ba7man post=31414570]It was in Kano that the card reader performed below expectation. The remaining States recorded success. This topic tries its best to potray the card reader in negative light which isn't true. Card readers are the future of elections, the earlier we start using it, the better. Is Kano the only one u know? what about Ebonyi state? Inec needs to rectify these flaws and fine-tune the process before March 28. 1 Like |

VickJames: Thank you bros for being truthfull. Some Nigerians are ready to plunge every one into confusion on that very day just to achieve their personal aim. If we are having a mock election 20 days to the most important election in Nigerian history and by now we can't record 50% success in all the chosen States, I wonder when Inec will contact the manufacturer and they will redesign or alter the machine to the desired standard. I wonder when Inec will conduct another mock election before the election day. I wonder for the past four years, what Inec has been doing with all the funds at their disposal. Its a shame. I keep wondering if this was the readiness Inec was talking about on February 11nth. Where are we heading in this country? Everything is politicized for selfish interest. When are we going to put our Nation first as a country. Watch and see, Some fools will quote me wrongly now. 1 Like |

Am sure you must be Buharist. It's bad for for the AD HOC staff to complain that the machine is malfunctioning but IT'S NOT BAD FOR A CITIZEN OF NIGERIA TO MAKE MOCKERY OF HIS DEAR NATION AND PRESIDENT. Nigerians are really deceiving theirselves ... #Akpanikor! kastonkastrol: 2 Likes |
Re: INEC CARD READER: See What Nigerians Are Saying About Their Experience by nortcentrallord(m): 11:54am On Mar 08, 2015 |
kastonkastrol: Saying the truth is something to be ashamed of now right? So he should keep quite and let Nigerians feel that all is well. What do you stand to gain if Nigerians are told lies? You talk about mock elections, aren't we supposed to register @ least 50% success in all the chosen States? It's just 20 days to the presidential election and Inec has to go back and either remodel the card reader or find a solution and still carry out another mock election. What have they been doing for the past four years with all the funds available to them. Three days before elections was postponed, Inec kept saying they are ready and now even after the postponement, 20 days to the new date, they are still not ready. I wonder how you folks find the moral justice to live and peddle lies and enjoin others to follow you. Nigerians deserve the truth @ anytime except if such affects the national security of the country. You may quote me the normal way your folks do but I have made my peace. |

kastonkastrol:So he should be ashamed for saying the truth he observed before it manifested? Now I know why Nigerian love deceivers. This explains why we keep deceiving ourselves with "one Nigerian" when we know we are not really one. |

kastonkastrol:I'm worried about your comments, recall that this same INEC said they were ready 100% for Feb 14, so had it been that there was no postponement how could they have discovered these flaws you talk about now? Was there any plan initially for mock prior to feb14. How could INEC have managed this if they went ahead to conduct this election as earlier scheduled. Let us be objective when we want to make comments cus one day you will still cry foul of same institution you are pontifying now. |
Re: INEC CARD READER: See What Nigerians Are Saying About Their Experience by Nobody: 12:05pm On Mar 08, 2015 |
PDP Carried many fake PVCs and so they couldn't be authenticated by the card reader. They purposely brought them so as to create a false display of the card reader's inability. When INEC trained us, all the PVC's that were around were authenticated! |

thunder74:Truth be told. As one of those that participated in the Card Reader's training, the device will ensure credible, free & fair polls but its rather TOO SENSITIVE. Such device shld not have been made to be screen touch as their is a button which when touched(either in error or wharever) ends the accreditation process. According to the trainers, there is nothing anybody can do about such situation(even their staff cannot rectify it) . Assuming u have only accredited ten voters and such error occur, what story will u tell the rest voters on queue. Do u know what it mean to disenfranchise an eligible voter with authentic PVC?. God help us. |
