Biko, let's respect the religion of others. We may have one or two reservations but it's better we keep them within us. Renowned scholar Ibn Kathir states that"believers are allowed to show friendship outwardly, but never inwardly." Qur'an (3:118)-"O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people, they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their bosoms conceal is greater still; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you, if you will understand." This verse not only warns Muslims not to take non-Muslims as friends. Qur'an (9:23)-"O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers" Even family members are not to be taken as friends if they do not accept Islam. (This is the mildest interpretation of this verse from the 9th Sura, which also advocates"slaying the unbeliever wherever ye find them". People often wonder why a lot of Muslim riots and protests occur after Friday prayers and why people like jihad john, Osama and other terrorists are devout mosque attending Muslims. Most moderate Muslims will use AL TAQIYYA or ignorance and quote this non-compulsion of religion verse: Qu'ran2: 256 Sahih International "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing." But they refuse to mention the other verses which compels their terrible religion on others. Religion itself has a form of suspending human rationality, either as a xtian or muslim, but if in the process of suspending human rationality, it succeeds to justify killing of non believers in jihad war for Allah, that is where the problem lies. I have listened to some islamic teachings, and i have hoped the followers put such teachings in to context and some human perspective.

i understand u quit alright but i have been opportune to listen to bot the imam and pastor's preach, although in the west,and i must confess that the pastor tends to be aggressive more even while raising prayer points he has never for once prayed for the peace of the country atleast to the best of my knowledge all is prayer points is directed towards enemies in my father's house,enemies around me,enemies from my mothers house etc.my point is this even if they decide to preach peace they aleady have the extremists among them.which is also found in the christendom.
The Western world will wake up one day to discover that Islam has turned their younger generation into primitive animals! They have adopted the policy of forcing Christianity down and allowing Islam such untold freedom!
