Based on several interviews I have conducted in the past, I have come to understand that graduates are not getting jobs, not because there are no jobs, but because they are not well equipped to undergo recruitment exercises. I have over 4 years HR experience, and over 6 years work experience- I would like to use this medium to share the knowledge I have acquired so far, and also in learning from other people.

Kindly post your questions regarding interviews- anything regarding interviews. I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Are you finding it difficult in making career decisions- I can be of help in that regard too.

This is my little way of giving back to the society.

Do's: Your name, Your age (please not your date of birth), your academic background briefly (don't talk about your primary and secondary education, except you are applying as an SSCE holder), your professional background- your work experience (where you worked, designation/job title, and the number of years/months you spent there).

In all, try not to spend more than 2 - 3 minutes.

Watch the countenance of your interviewers, maintain eye contact with the person that is speaking with you (in case you have more than one person interviewing you).


Please avoid words such as: "As you can see"; "If you understand me"; "As you can see in my CV"; "I already said it before".

I might not be able to tell you that since I do not know the position you are applying for, the company or your qualifications.

I have interest in the HR field although I am currently into Customer Service (call center agent) but i dnt find fulfilment. I intend taking professional exam wit CIPM to prepare for d HR career but i am confuse on whether to concentrate on my present career or venture into HR. Pls, advice.

One of the things you consider before choosing a career is if there is growth to the top management executive level through that chosen career field. There are some professions in the organisation that they do not get to seat at Board meetings as decision makers, you don't see them go beyond the Manager cadre/level in any organisation.

Another thing you need to consider is, if that profession can serve as a source of income (not by earning salary through it) if you are on your own.

Another one is your passion.

So, consider the aforementioned points vis-a-vis your current position and career plans; and I believe you will make the best decision ever.
