smalling is very consistent.
his defence had kept 2 clean sheets until yesterday. arsenal scored a brilliant goal that you can say was di maria's fault. smalling covered his own zone of the box - that was why the pass went to di maria's zone in the first place.

would smalling had chested the ball to valencia from szczesny's hoof? i am 100% sure he would have controlled the ball & pass it back himself to de gea or head it straight back to where it came from.

Even against Southampton, Smalling was substituted on 18th minute and we still won. We didn't win because of Smalling.
