NOTICE ON FRESHERS' REGISTRATION

This is to inform all fresh students of the University of Ibadan that after due consultation with the management, it has been certified that fresh students should be patient till Friday this week before proceeding with their accommodation registration. This is in a bid to get the bank and bank details for the payment of accommodation fee ready. It is therefore adviceable for every fresh student to wait till Friday before proceeding further with the registration

As regards the school fees, once the University settles with the Banks in charge of payment, by writing to them a letter to that effect, the school fees will immediately be released. We believe that should be ready this week

As regards reference letter, the admission office will demand for two reference letters certifying your good behaviour and character (Note that this is different from the letter you submitted during clearance). Therefore, you are adviced to make photocopies of those letters as you will need them for your hall clearance

As regards online accommodation registration, after payment in Bank and online input of pin for online payment, you will print out the accommodation receipt which you will take alongside some other things like accommodation form (printed out online), passport photograph, reference letter e.t.c to do you hall clearance beginning from Saturday, March 21 which is the arrival day

Finally, 2014/2015 resumption remains Monday, MARCH 23, 2015 and registration begins immediately

Thanks for the update, but if the reference letters are different, who do they get addressed to this time?
Is it okay to begin xray and other anthropometric data collection on resumption?

Are u guys sure we're resuming 21st, if we are why haven't ui updated it on their site. It all seems weird. I wouldn't have even known that they had already started giving matric number and halls until my friend told me. I just want to be sure. And for the hall, won't they give us something like a prospectus or a list of what to bring and what not to bring to d hostel, cos I have no idea. I don't know whether the school provides beds or we have to buy bed ourselves. OK yh this is a bit off topic buh then I need to know. Please does any one have an idea. Kindly reply. Thanks

It sounds pretty hilarious for a Nigerian university to release a prospestus to the hall occupants. For where?

U are expected to come with stuffs a student will need for comfort,survival and u just mention it. Get yourself a student bed,standing fan, stove, electric cooker, kitchen utensils if u want to cook etc.

To the guys out here who are either indolent or have a nasty cullinary skill.

To the ladies out there who would love to maximize time by abdicating kitchen duties

To the swotty dudes in the house who always want to jack or jerk

UI is a school an average student can survive a day with just 350 naira and your 3 square meal will intact. I don't Cook or lemme say seldom cook and I still live like a king with d little cash I spend daily on foods.

Market is outside the school and the mini markets we have are ( dunno what to say abt them jare)

I use an electric keyboard, an electric stove , an electric bed, an electric chair and just think of anything electric.

Electric stoves are not allowed in most halls as rumours would ring ut on my ears but students still manage to bring them along. We have some in the kitchenettes but most are already dysfunctional.
Mind u the rule says we should Cook in the designated places but u know 98 percent of zikites cook in their rooms.

Rules are quiet stringent in the female halls and they are on the verge of getting puritanical.

Male halls are just flexible with their principles and conduct.
